Our cooking experience began early in the morning with a visit to a local market, where we shopped together and tasted traditional Thai breakfast specialties. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of life, and it was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in local culture. We enjoyed delicious coffee and Thai tea before moving on to cooking the dishes we had personally chosen. We started with a walk through the garden, which immediately set a calm and welcoming tone. My son completely fell in love with Pad Thai, and he was incredibly proud and excited that, under Annie’s kind guidance, he was able to recreate this dish on his own. I prepared curry and papaya salad. Hand-squeezed coconut milk and freshly pounded curry paste made from scratch were truly unforgettable and added something very special to the whole experience. In the end, all the dishes were beautifully presented, and we were happy to take the leftovers back for our family. Before we headed home, Annie generously spent extra time with us and took us shopping again so we could recreate the flavors of Thailand in our own kitchen. It was a wonderful, authentic experience — warm, inspiring, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommended! 🌟
We had a wonderful time with Annie and Étienne’s cooking class in Trang. We started at the local market, where we could ask many questions and taste fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs – such a great introduction to Thai cuisine. Afterwards, we went to their beautiful property, where Annie had prepared everything with so much care. Cooking together was a lot of fun, and the food was absolutely delicious – some of the best we had in Thailand! Thank you, Annie and Étienne, for this lovely and unforgettable experience. We highly recommend this cooking class! 💛
Great experience with a great host. The cooking class with any is more of a visit at a friends place, than a commercial tour. Starting with a interesting stroll at the trang market, explaining many look dishes, followed by cooking at a great outdoor cooking location at Annies home. I even got dropped of at the bus station afterwards. Recipes of the cooking class and many more are provided. 5/5 would recommend!
My husband and I had a great day with Annie! She picked us up at our hotel, we discussed menu options (considering my dietary restrictions) and then off to the market for coffee, treats, and to gather all the ingredients. Annie was patient and knowledgeable, answering all our questions, and eager to have us try all the different food tastes and treats. Then we drove a short distance to her house, where she and her husband Etienne toured us around their garden, and then walked us through cooking 5 different delicious dishes. Instructions were easy, conversation was great, and food was fabulous! We left full, with leftovers for dinner, and with great memories. Don’t hesitate to book a class with Annie - such a great way to spend a morning in lovely, delicious Trang!
Me and my boyfriend did the tour with Annie and absolutely loved the expierence. It was not just a cooking class but a cultural expierence and exchange. Annie went above and beyond and in the end it felt like we made new friends.
I had an absolutely amazing experience with Annie and Etienne in Trang! The cooking class was incredible—we started with a market visit where Annie explained different ingredients, and then we made everything from scratch, including a delicious curry paste, salad, and soup. It was truly a magical day, 11/10! Annie and Etienne are incredibly warm and welcoming. I even spent the next two days with them, visiting the rice fields, training together, and sharing great meals. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Trang! Thanks Annie and Etienne
We had a really nice day with Annie and Etienne! First the market tour which was so fun and insightful, then the garden and the cooking at her lovely studio. We learned a lot and the food was amazing!
We joined Annie's class as a family, and it was a highlight of our stay in Trang. Annie picked us up at our hotel then we got delicious coffee and walked through the market talking about the food and the area. Driving the short distance to her rural home highlighted the peaceful beauty of the Trang area and under her trees the sheltered kitchen was shady and breezy and filled with tropical plants and flowers. Annie and her family were so welcoming and generous and lovely to spend a morning with. Delicious food was made and eaten, we had a great time, and we're inspired to make southern Thai dishes back at home in Canada. Thank you, Annie!
We really appreciated the small class size. There was just myself, my wife and Annie. It made the experience more personal, and we gained some understanding of southern Thai culture. We shopped together in the local street markets, and then created a fabulous meal under Annie’s direction. It was a lot of fun, and we would highly recommend it to anyone.
