"A fun way to learn to cook Thai food"
We spent about 5 hours with Ning at her delightful outdoor cooking school at Ka-Ti. We were lucky enough to be in a small group of 3 so received very personal tuition. The day is very well organised. We were able to choose dishes that we wanted to cook for our "examination" and also cooked a starter and several other main courses. Ning speaks very good English and made the class great fun. She taught us a lot about the various herbs and spices commonly used in Thai food and then we prepared all the vegetables and spices (quite hard work at times as we ground the ingredients for the curry pastes in a huge pestle and mortar!).

"Culture and Passion"
The cooking school is al fresco and situated on a quiet lagoon creating a wonderful ambiance. Yaa interspersed information on local herbs and spices and Thai cooking techniques, with anecdotes about her life and her family, history of rice, some cooking chemistry, and even a Thai language lesson. We learned how to make "sticky rice", spring rolls using various flowers to create eye appeal, two types of curries, pad thai, and even dessert (Thai dessert crepes). We started at 10:30 in the morning, and walked along the beach back to our hotel at around 5pm, way too full to even consider dinner.
This is a must if you are in Koh Chang!

"The heart of Thailand"
It was a one of a kind experience for me and my sister. We were looking for fun activities to do while we were on our 5-day tour in Koh Chang. We took this cooking class and It was relaxing yet challenging. We were given a 5 course dish to learn and cook. We also requested for vegetarian option. We had Som tam, Pad Thai and more. We really felt the culture and was able to try unique spices that they use in cooking.
