This was really one of the highlights of my day in Japan. We had an amazing time with Sato-san learning how to make two of my fav: Gyoza and delicious ramen with his special miso recipe. , amongst other things. Sato san really made the experience a wonderful one, we learned a lot about Japanese culture beyond just food. I would highly recommend this class to everyone :)
Ryo was a great host and learning how to make a popular dish from Japan was great fun! After trying out traditional styles of Okonomiyaki during our the rest of our travels, we have to agree with Ryo, Hiroshima Style is the best! We look forward to making it for our friends now we are home. The Sake tasting was delicious as well! Ryo's knowledge shone through on the subtleties between regional variants, and his explanation of how Sake is made was very informative. Thanks for the hospitality! Oishī!
My husband and I had a really special time at our cooking class. There was only the two of us so we were able to ask so many questions that you normally don't get a chance to ask in a larger group. We also had fun and cooked great food. In fact there is so much food we could not eat it all but every bite we ate was delicious.
