Ramen is a noodle dish with delicious soup and many different toppings. We will make the soup from the scratch, we don't use instant powder!

YUCa

Worked at the fermented food restaurants & nursery school as a chef. Founded Japanese cooking classes in 2013 and teaches home cooking for guests from all over the world while creating more recipes. Honored as the “Best cooking class in Japan 2018 & 2019”, “Best of the Best 2021” by TripAdvisor.

Class Information:

After meeting at YJC's cooking studio, we start the class with the lecture about Japanese cuisine & lifestyle. Then, we start cooking Ramen broth and soup from the scratch!

In addition to Ramen, Japanese home cooking chef & Recipe creator YUCa will teach how to make crispy and juicy "Gyoza pizza" which looks like a beautiful flower.

After tasting the final products, YUCa will guide you to the local supermarket and introduce you to other foods and offer shopping tips.

* This is Home-style Ramen & Gyoza class so we don't make egg noodles and gyoza wrappers from scratch in this class. (Just in case, those recipes are on YJC's YouTube channel already. Please subscribe "YUCa's Japanese Cooking"!) You can learn how to make Dashi soup broth and ramen soup from scratch. Thank you for understanding.

What I liked: I loved the information sheet filled with drawings and important information on Japanese food and culture that Yuca gave to us before the class started. Yuca was also a great host and served us Japanese tea when we arrived in her kitchen. We were also given a selection of sakes to drink with our meals!
What to know: Most of the cooking is done altogether as a team! We were all given different tasks to do, it was great teamwork!
Good for: Families and small group looking for a great team building experience.
How to get there: Tabata metro station. Included short taxi ride to Yuca’s house.

We loved it!

My wife and I took our cooking class with Yuca earlier this month. We loved it! We were welcomed to Yuca's home. She gave us very clear directions on how to get there. During the class, we learned a lot in the few hours that we were there. Yuca was very patient and clear in answering all of our questions and walking us through each step. The gyoza and ramen were both delicious, and we feel ready to obtain the ingredients we need and try it out at home.

Awesome

YUCa is a very kind and nice Sensei. She gave us informative Japanese cuisine history and recipes. Since it is based on teamwork, so the atmosphere is very lively. Also, Ramen and gyoza taste awesome. Hope to see her soon! Thanks YUCa :)
