Lasagna is cherished worldwide, earning its place as a beloved comfort food in countless homes. But did you know that it originated right here in Bologna? The earliest reference to lasagna can be traced back to a Bolognese poem from 1282.
In our cooking class, I will guide you through each crucial step to craft the perfect lasagna, just as my grandmother lovingly prepared it.
By the end of our class, you will have not only tasted this iconic dish in its truest form but also acquired the expertise to prepare authentic Bolognese lasagna!

An iconic Italian dessert masterpiece layering delicate savoiardi cookies soaked in espresso and topped with mascarpone cheese. Cocoa powder dusting crowns this creamy delight, marrying sweet and robust flavours in every spoonful.

- Arrive at the villa by car, or let us arrange your transfer. We offer free pick-up from Castel San Pietro Terme railway station, and transfers from central Bologna can also be arranged.
- Bianca, your host and cooking instructor, will welcome you and introduce the day’s menu.
- Prepare the ingredients together using carefully selected local products, including organic flour from our nearby mill.
- Make each dish from scratch with Bianca’s personal guidance.
- Learn authentic Bolognese techniques, family traditions, and practical tips to use at home.
- Cook in our peaceful countryside villa, overlooking the surrounding hills and plains.
- Sit down together and enjoy the full meal you have created.
- At the end, we will return you to the agreed drop-off point, or say goodbye at the villa if you came by car.

Meeting Point
By train: enjoy complimentary pick-up and drop-off at the main entrance of Castel San Pietro Terme railway station. From Bologna: a private return transfer from your accommodation or another agreed location in central Bologna can be arranged for an additional fee. By car: meet us directly at Villa degli Olmi, Via G. Tanari 2013, Castel San Pietro Terme. Free parking is available on site.
