In this hands-on cooking class, learn how to make authentic handmade soba noodles from scratch using traditional Japanese techniques. Located in Asakusa, a neighborhood known for its many famous soba restaurants, the class gives you the opportunity to work alongside a skilled soba chef and discover the art of making thin, delicate buckwheat noodles.
You’ll prepare the dough from scratch, knead and stretch it using a traditional wooden rolling pin, then carefully cut the noodles with a soba knife. You’ll also learn how to make kakiage-style tempura to enjoy alongside your freshly made soba.
After preparing the noodles, watch as the chef expertly boils and assembles the soba. Finally, sit down and enjoy your handmade noodles with dipping sauce and traditional garnishes.
