Experience the heart of Sicilian cuisine in an authentic cooking class held in a welcoming family kitchen. Guided by local hosts, you’ll learn traditional recipes passed down through generations, using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced from local markets. We will prepare 5 course menù, including appetizer, fresh pasta from scratch, second course with side dish and dessert.

Enjoy cooking together in a relaxed, home-style atmosphere, and end the class by sharing a delicious meal you’ve prepared yourself, just like a Sicilian family would.

Menu

The menù will change depending on seasons and availability of fresh products, but just for an example can be:

• Fresh anchovies fried or Panelle (chickpeas slides fried)
• Fresh pasta alla Norma or Spaghetti with fresh sardines and wild fennel 
• Swordfish rolls or Sardinas "Beccafico" or Sicilian meat rolls 
• Eggplant Caponata or Orange and fennel salad 
• Cannoli or Biancomangiare or Semifreddo (almond or pistacchio)

Schedule

• Meet in Piazza San Giovanni and walk to the kitchen 
• Introduction to the day and coffee is served
•  Start the cooking session 
• Tasting all the dishes that we prepare paired with Sicilian wine 
• End of the day and return to the meeting point
