"Thung Chai" is the local name for the basket boat. It originates from Vietnam and considered very valuable for the owners because it was made of bamboo. This kind of boat is used by fisherman in central Vietnam, especially those who work in the ocean or river because of its convenience. However, in present-day, there are many basket boats around because of its uniqueness and popularity with tourists.
This special tour will bring you to a peaceful, quiet and picturesque fishing village named Cam Thanh, which is 5km away from Hoi An old town. You will meet lots of local warm-hearted people who love to show and teach you how to use the unique basket boat with their whole heart and enjoy an unforgettable meal of your lifetime. This is a fun and interesting way to experience rural life in Hoi An and Vietnamese cuisine.
You will be immersed in the natural beauty of the nipa palm forest and enjoy crabs fishing. You have a chance to contemplate the river beauty in the countryside of Viet Nam, the traditional way of catching fish as well as the lives of the hospitable fishermen here.
Last, the chefs will teach you how to cook Vietnamese food and share valuable information in Vietnamese cultural cuisine. Then you will enjoy Vietnamese food made by yourself. Recipes from the class will be give to you so you can recreate them at home.

- 12:30 pm: Enjoy lunch with the food you made.
- 1:00 pm: End of the trip and back to the hotel.
