Suwanee teaches a fantastic class. She is very knowledgeable about food, cooking and presentation. Her cooking space is very pleasant as well.
The best cooking class in my life 🌸✨ Suwannee is very nice cook teacher, she shared the secrets of Thai kitchen, taught the main cook techniques and showed how to serve the dish aesthetically. There is a wonderful calm place with garden, Suwannnee made my day happy and tasty 🤤 I was glad to join this cooling class, it was a fantastic experience
We’ve taken lots of cooking classes in many places. This was the BEST ever. Fascinating market tour. Class is in their house but it is specially set up as a professional cooking school. well equipped, spotlessly clean. Chef Jaruwan is knowledgable and engaging. She did a great job coaching us as we prepared our dishes. She shared her enthusiasm for cooking and also shared stories of her Akha culture. As advertised on the site, everything is included, even transfers to and from your hotel. Crazy value for money. High-end class at modest price.
Jaru is really good at what she does. It’s a great learning experience and the food, all of which you make from scratch, is delicious.
This was the only cooking class we did in Thailand, and we were told by our cooking meats but it was definitely the best one they had been to! Jaru was an excellent hostess. Everything wais personalized, luxurious, well prepared, and of course delicious. Our trip through the market was at a very relaxed pace, complete with complementary coffee‘s and coconut ice cream which was amazing! She taught us a lot about how to shop local. Once we got back to her house, everything was so beautiful and the refreshing fruit and drinks before we started was a nice touch. Throughout the course of the class, we were told many stories of the Akha tribe and enjoyed getting to know Jaru better as well :-) apparently at other classes you don’t really do much cooking, you just throw the ingredients together, but here we got to slice, dice, crush, smash all the ingredients! It was so fun! It also went 2 hours longer than was advertised, which wasn’t a problem for us, actually pretty amazing, but just a heads up! Jaru was wonderful and her helpers gave us the best day ever!
Linda and I had a wonderful cooking experience today, lead by Jay(Akha Tribe). First he took us to a local market and purchased the meat, fish and vegetables we would require. He thoroughly explained each of our 7 or 8 dishes that each person attending chose to make. This made it so much easier for us to prepare and complete each dish. We all sat and ate what we prepared and had about 3 sittings so I suggest you don't have a large breakfast before this wonderful and culturally culinary experience. Highly recommended.
Had a fab time, really enjoyed it. Very professional!
We had a wonderful day with Nan and Suwannee. Nan picked us up and led us on a very interesting tour of the morning market. We went from stall to stall meeting the locals and selecting the finest ingredients. Lots of sampling and tasting too! Once we arrived at their beautiful country home we enjoyed delicious appetizers. Suwannee had the kitchen ready with a separate cooking station for each class member. We had so much fun learning to prepare and cook each menu item. The other class members were delightful to spend the day with. And the food was some of the best Thai food I've ever eaten. Anyone would enjoy this class!
