Do you love Taiwanese food? Do you want to learn how to make it by yourself? Then you should definitely check out our fantastic and cozy culinary classroom for tourists, where you can get bilingual guidance in Chinese and English, and taste your own dishes on the spot. But wait, there’s more!
Cooking is not the only thing you will do in our cooking class. You will also get to experience the historical and cultural charm of Dadaocheng, a historic district close to the classroom. Your first stop will be the Taipei Xia-hai City God Temple, which dates back to 1856, and immerse yourself in its religious atmosphere.
You will then go to the century-old Yongle Market to buy fresh ingredients for your dishes. After snapping some photos, you will proceed to the cuisine classroom in a historical building. There, under the instruction of our beautiful chef, you will learn to make a few delicious dishes: Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, Sakura Blossom Rice, Eggplant with Minced Pork, and Handmade Sweet Potato Balls, with instructions in either Chinese or English.
This cooking experience is an excellent attraction for you to enjoy delicious food and experience Taiwanese culture when you travel to Taiwan. As a culinary classroom primarily for tourists, our chef Sandy Liu teaches in both Chinese and English. She will accompany you to make Taiwanese dishes by yourself and enjoy eating them right after.
Since you are visiting Taiwan, we highly recommend you come to learn with us about Taiwanese traditional food and immerse yourself in the Taiwanese traditional market that takes you back in time! You will walk the old streets, browse the market, and cook Taiwanese food.
