Eco Cooking Class with Local in Hoi An

In this eco cooking class tour, you will have a chance to have a day likes Vietnamese local. You will enjoy the bustling local market and learn how to choose the fresh ingridients with the English speaking guide and taste some local fruits or snacks. 

To make sure that you are in the eco-tour, you will go in a special round boat to visit the Bay Mau nipa palm forest. Take part in interesting activities such us: catching crabs, snails, fish or riding around the boat, making some lovely co-co leaf souvenirs at Mai's grandma vegetable & herb garden. After all the fun activities, there are 2 hours of cooking class waiting for you (vegetarians are welcome). This is how you enjoy a half-day in Vietnam.

In this eco cooking class, you will have a chance to experience a day in the life of a Vietnamese local in rural Hoi An. After meeting your guide, you will enjoy the bustling Hoi An market and learn how to shop for fresh ingredients. The English-speaking guide will be your translator and you'll have the chance to taste somal local fruits or other snacks. 

Next, you will take the unique round bamboo boats to visit the Bay Mau nipa palm forest. During this activity, you will have the chance to catch crabs, snails, and fish. Or you can just ride around in the boat. Finally, you will start your two-hour cooking class at Phat Loc Eco Cooking and Restaurant. Vegetarians are also welcome during this cooking class. After the food is all cooked, you will get to partake in Vietnamese folk games while enjoying the lunch you prepared.

• Papaya Salad with Shrimp Cracker
• Phat Loc Fried Spring Roll
• Pork or Fish in a Clay Pot with Steamed Rice
• Cao Lau (Speciality Noodle Dish of Hoi An)
• Seasonal Fresh Fruits

If you are vegetarian, ingredients for cooking will be changed into veggies (mushrooms, tofu, eggplant)

• 8:00 am: Meet the local guide at your hotel
• 8:10 am: Go to Hoi An market
• 9:00 am: Boat trip from market to Cam Thanh Village
• 9:30 am: Go in a special round boat to visit the Bay Mau nipa palm forest
• 10:00 am: Go back Phat Loc Restaurant for cooking class with the local chef 
• 12:00 pm: Enjoy Vietnamese food made by yourself with the folk games
• 1:00 pm: Back to your hotel by car. End the trip!

Afternoon section

• 2:00 pm: Meet the local guide at your hotel
• 2:10 pm: Go to Hoi An market
