My girlfriend and I booked this tour because we wanted to see something outside the busy city of Phnom Penh, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. The tour is perfect for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a few hours. We were picked up on scooters by two incredibly friendly guides and rode through Phnom Penh, passing temples, modern skyscrapers, bridges, and taking a ferry to Silk Island. It was fascinating to see how rural everything becomes after just a 15-minute ride or by simply crossing the river. The contrast to Phnom Penh is incredible. Along the way, we stopped at hidden riverside spots, visited a traditional silk weaving workshop, and enjoyed a delicious Khmer cooking experience. Water and beer were also provided with the meal if you wanted them. I have a peanut allergy, and the guides took great care of it throughout the entire tour. I really appreciated how attentive they were and it made me feel completely comfortable. The tour itself was beautiful and very interesting because we got to see so many different sides of Cambodia that we would never have discovered on our own. What made the experience truly special, however, were our guides, especially Sok. He was warm, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. Beyond showing us the sights, we had great conversations about life in Cambodia, Cambodian culture, and how he sees the world. Those personal conversations made the experience even more memorable. I can genuinely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Phnom Penh. Thank you again for such a wonderful day and for your hospitality! Greetings from Switzerland Simon Chhit
Before class, we explored a local market and observed how the locals obtain food. It was a great opportunity to learn where the ingredients in our dishes came from! The cooking class itself was full of hospitality! The staff member taught us step-by-step how to cook delicious dishes. Learning about the local food culture was a wonderful experience.
2 of us joined this class of 6. Pickup bus Tuk tuk on time. Instructors were very clear and kept us all involved with a range of recipes. The food was tasty and plentiful. A trip to the market was offeeed but we had a following appointment so had to skip it sadly Highly recommend this course
Kong is an amazing cook and teacher! He was patient and explained all the ingredients and processes in detail. He helped us understand the way of life, sourcing of ingredients and the process of making delicious food! Kong and his team made us feel welcome and on our way to becoming masterchefs! Recommend to every visitor to Siem Reap!
I loved learning to make some of these and delicious dishes we had enjoyed in Cambodia. We had the opportunity to visit a local market where many of the ingredients are sourced, learning some more about local life. King was a great host, very entertaining and very knowledgeable. And the food was plentiful and delicious!
Kong was great! He was an awesome guide and he was very fun to be around. Totally worth attending this class. We got to pick and choose 4 dishes to create
Sorya took us to a local market and afterwards we cooked a full menu. Everything was good, also the pick-up from our hotel worked well.
Really interesting, the dishes were really good and we even had a presentation about the Cambodian food culture and history. I recommend !
This class was a fun way to spend the evening and see a bit of life outside the main centre of Siem Reap. There are lots of dishes to choose from and you can make four each, including a whole vegetarian menu. They were also accommodating for gluten free. It was very efficiently run and the teachers and guides were all so kind and made it a really fun experience. They send you the recipes afterwards and also lots of photos taken during the class.
We loved the whole experience, picked up in the hotel, visit to the market and understand better the local produce and seasonality, choosing what to cook and be guided by the best team. We had a feast ! We loved the environment, the team guiding us and all passed by very quickly! Highly recommended
It was truely amazing...the team so friendly...the venue clean ...i can recommend this experience ...5 stars all the way...
Treng was fabulous. The whole evening gave us an authentic and traditional Cambodian cooking experience as well as being extremely informative about local foods and culture. He and his sister are lovely, kind and generous people who are very passionate about what they do. The food was delicious and abundant. I cannot recommend any higher.
Our cooking class was really great. We started the day by visiting the market where we selected the required ingredients. At the school, we were taught how to make three delicious meals. The instructions were clear and the class was very hands on. Great course for anyone looking to learn about Khmer cuisine.
Very tasty and tasty experience with Sreng and his sister. We prepared 2 authentic dishes (Amok and a banana dessert), cooked in a coconut with traditional cambodien spices. Even we learned a lot about the country, its food and culture Very recommended !
We had a great tour. It was totally made by our fantastic guide, Kim. He was so chatty, interesting and charming 12/10!!! It was a fun and different experience - and would definitely recommend to do it
