My name is Teresa, and I cook out of passion for my family and alongside curious guests who want to learn how to transform food into delicious menus. My traditional Sicilian cooking lessons occur in the Arenella seaside area, just a ten-minute drive from the city. During the lesson, I will guide you through three traditional family recipes in an engaging, clear, and simple way. We will prepare these dishes together, and you can savor them in the garden.
The menu is always seasonal and of the highest quality. If you have time for a Sicilian food experience during your holiday, this will be informative, fun, and interactive. You will achieve new culinary goals. Please inform me of any intolerances or ingredients you dislike.
You will enjoy a relaxing, fragrant, and pleasant environment at my villa, immersing yourself in all seasons.
NOTE:
- The experience is available year-round and takes place at Teresa’s villa on Via Isole Molucche. Since October, guests can also enjoy the class at her elegant city apartment on Corso Gelone, conveniently located near Ortigia.
- For a complete gastronomic experience, a market tour is available (extra). I will explain the typical products, we will shop for ingredients, and I will provide you with a family recipe book along with intelligent recipes. The tour lasts one hour and costs an additional €50 per person, payable on the spot.

- The cooking lesson begin at 10.00 or 16.00, the experience lasts three hours in total.

- Start of the hands-on cooking session.
- Indulge in the culinary delights crafted during the class with a lunch or dinner in the garden.
- End of the experience.

Great Cooking Class. Fun!
Teresa was a great host. She explained all the fresh ingredients used in the recipes and answered all our questions. It was a fun experience. Teresa has a beautiful home. She shared her recipes with us so we can cook them at home. We made arancini, meatballs and a pistachio cake. Delicious!
This is the class to take if you want an authentic cooking class!!

Wonderful cooking time with Teresa!
My cooking class with Teresa Zimmitti turned out to be a private lesson! Teresa was a wonderful hostess who patiently taught me how to make 3 types of pasta in addition to pumpkin gnocchi, pesto and caponata. Her garden is lovely, a delightful place to cook - and then enjoy the fruit of out labors!

Fantastic!
A group of seven of us were on a walking tour of SE Sicily. It happened that one of our group was having a birthday on our last day. As a surprise for her we arranged for all of us to attend a cooking class. From the first contact, Teresa was wonderful. She was very responsive and arranged for transportation to her lovely house. We met in her peaceful garden where she had all the necessary cooking ingredients and utensils laid out. After serving us coffee, we got to work. We cooked caponata (her grandmother's recipe ), made cavatelli from scratch, a pistachio pesto, and a beautiful parmigiana. The gran finale was Teresa helping us to make a classic cannoli filled birthday cake. We delighted in the feast served with chilled white wine. Teresa brought out her home made limoncello as we sang happy birthday. It was a memorable birthday celebration and a highlight of our trip. Grazie mille to our fabulous and talented host, Teresa!!

Wonderful Sicilian Cooking Class
We had a wonderful experience with Teresa. She is kind, patient and an incredible Sicilian cook! We hope to book another cooking lesson with her when we return to Sicily!

We loved cooking with Teresa.
It was our first time making cannoli and several other dishes and Teresa made it easy and fun. If you feel like learning delicious Sicilian home cooking in a relaxing environment and with a generous host, I highly recommend cooking with Teresa.

- Private transportation is available for an additional cost of €15 per person for a round trip, payable on the spot. The meeting point is near Ortigia.
