We have attended this experience 3 times and it never fails to amaze us! Rie is an excellent host--speaks efficient English and describes in detail where the Wagyu beef and each sake delight comes from. And each time, we've had the chance to experience a different sampling of sake from all over the country The cook and staff at Sake Bar Doron prepare and serve mouth watering tasty dishes. Don't miss this opportunity! You won't regret it!
Tour had 5 clients with a guide and guide trainee. Good English and food knowledge. Tour in English. Met at first site, sushi restaurant. Though I am not a sushi fan, and wasn’t converted, I learned about the customs of eating sushi and I think the quality was very high. Included some unusual pieces, like tuna head meat. On to a very good okonomiyaki restaurant where we sampled both Osaka and Hiroshima styles. Three dessert stops-a traditional street food of sweet rice balls, melon bread, and matcha ice cream. Total time about 2.5 hours. Guides also very willing to give advice about travel, other restaurants, etc. other clients were quite nice. For $100, we got some excellent food and very informative guiding. Strongly recommend.
Megan and Chizuru were fantastic hosts! They were very knowledgeable and great company. The wagyu and sake were both incredible and paired incredibly well. One of the greatest highlights of my trip and couldn’t recommend enough!
We had an amazing tour with Shino! We went to 5 different places, including a sushi restaurant, and the food always tasted delicious! Portions were pretty big, so when we left our bellies were happily full! Best part of the tour was our guide, Shino: she's been very informative, sharing facts about the food and Japanese culture that will be very helpful during our holiday. Definitely the experience you should have when in Tokyo!
This experience was incredible. Lee was an amazing host and extremely knowledgeable. We had sake with every wagyu course and were full by the end. We would highly recommend!
What an excellent way to spend an evening exploring Tokyo. Excellent food and drinks. Chizuru was a perfect guide!
Yuma was an excellent host and took us through everything we could need to know about sake from its production to tasting notes. We tried 5 types of sake of different kinds and had around 3-4 'bonus round' sakes so we tried a lot more than advertised which was much appreciated. The snacks provided were also excellent and complemented the sake well! Thanks so much Yuma and I would recommend this class to anyone in Tokyo looking to learn about sake in a welcoming and warm environment!
If you are looking for an amazing dinner experience in Tokyo, look, no further. The evening was full of outstanding sake, A5 wagyu, and and several other surprises. Nathan was an outstanding host!
Very good, excellent hostess, learnt a lot
We met with Amanda who was very nice and welcoming and made us feel like home in each restaurant we went to. The food was amazing and it was an awsome way to explore japanesse food better. The only problem I has was to find the location. Google maps showed a totally different direction every time and thats the app i use as a tourist so... Over all, it was a great morning :)
We had a great afternoon tasting sake. Yuma gave us a very nice welcome and explained a lot about sake. After the explanation the tasting started. We got 6 very different sakes to taste. After that a few more in the range we liked more. The tasting was not rushed and Yuma took his time. Very nice and relaxed way to learn about sake.
