Kana was an awesome hostess and chef, I could not recommend this class highly enough! She was knowledgeable, extremely welcoming and went to all measures to ensure we were comfortable and met our every need. If you’re looking for a great authentic and cozy class, this is the one for you!!
Lulu was a wonderful teacher, and we learned lots that we’ll be able to bring home. We chose the Gozen meal, and she accommodated our special request to make chicken teriyaki. I would totally recommend this class. It felt very personal and authentic.
A fun and informative activity that both the adults and the kids enjoyed!
She explained a lot to me about different Japanese ingredients and how they are used. I came away from this cooking class with a lot of good information and the food was very good.
Our instructor Kayo was amazing. She told us so much about the dishes we were making and the different techniques we would use. We made so much food that was all so delicious.
I do actually love cooking Japanese food back home, but seeing it done in person by someone who knows what she's doing was quite educational, not to mention fun. Definitely a must do activity while you're in Tokyo. The host spoke good English, and we made so much food that we were full for almost the full day after, despite arriving on the empty stomach.
We wanted to be sure we took a cooking class with food we could actually make at home and this was it! We made five dishes that were all delicious. Kana, our instructor, was so kind, funny, and informative. She also gave us recommendations for restaurants and activities to try. The price was incredibly reasonable and we got all recipes after words. I can’t recommend this class enough!
They had several helpers to make sure we made a delicious and all knew what was going on. They also made sure to take lots of pictures for us. It was a great experience! We made sushi and a green bean salad.
We made 2 main dishes and 4 starters. Chieko is wonderful, we learned a lot about Japanese cooking and traditions, and we talked about everyday things. One of the best things about the trip, we'd definitely do it again if we could 😊
The instructors were very professional and friendly. Good facilities and tips for cooking at home. The recipes and pictures taken during the class was shared afterwards. Overall a great activity to do while in Tokyo!
The 3 ladies were super committed, motivated, and also told us a lot about Japan in general. It was a really great cooking class, authentic and fun.
An absolute recommendation, great concept, great food and a great hostess
The ladies were so good and lovely! They made the experience so good. Everything was just brilliant and organized and easy. Thank you again for such a great experience.
My daughter and myself had a very enjoyable cooking session with Lulu. She was an excellent cooking instructor and we learned a lot about Japanese cooking and ingredients. The food that we enjoyed at the end was fantastic as well. Highly recommended activity
The instructors followed us in every step and shared a lot of nice recipes with us. Quality of food was also very high. Absolutely an experience I would recommend to everybody interested more in the Japanese cuisine. Thanks again for the nice activity!
Chieko was very fun and knowledgeable, teaching us techniques and sharing traditional recipes. Assistant Yuki was helpful and friendly. What a pleasure to learn how to cook and make friends with others in the class. Great experience!
The team were friendly and helpful and the receipes delicious
We both had a lovely time cooking with Chieko. She taught us so much about Japanese cuisine.
Food was delicious , lots of choice and lots of food
We booked a vegetarian cooking class as a family of 4. We had a blast and picked up a ton of knowledge Thanks a lot for the lovely care and the professional guidance
We loved the small experience with a v story of authentic Japanese foods that we cooked and then ate. They accommodated my daughter and I as we are vegetarians. Additionally, my 11 year old daughter had an amazing time cooking and being a part of the class.
Chieko was a great instructor. She recommended a park for us to enjoy our bento at afterwards. perfect afternoon activity!
The chef was very good, gad good English language and was polite and the meal was delicious.
We had a wonderful evening with super nice ladies who showed us how to cook Japanese. And it tasted super delicious!! An absolute recommendation.
The hosts were really helpful and patient with us. We would definitely recommend this activity to anyone.
Our group had an excellent experience with the hosts. Not only were we able to learn to some Japanese dishes that we can cook at home, we were able to learn about local culture and ask for recommendations. One of our favorite activities for our trip for our teens and tweens!
"LuLu" and her team of half a dozen ladies were excellent hosts for our large party, ten of us and four from another group. This was the only cooking class we found that would teach such a large party. We had vegetarian, gluten free and sugar free travelers, and they were able to accommodate all of them with alternative recipes. The directions were clear and achievable for home cooks. We made dashi broth, miso soup, gyoza dumplings, savory pancake, rolled scrambled eggs and spinach salad. All were delicious with high quality ingredients. They did a great job explaining the cultural significance and background of each dish and ingredient. We had plenty of time to eat as a group afterwards, and visited with our teachers to learn more about their business and lives. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station, and afterwards we went to the Botanical Garden to walk off our meal. Highly recommended!
Great communication prior to the event welcoming our group, asking about food allergies, and providing address for the class. Food was delicious & and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this unique experience if you have time while in Tokyo.
It was wonderful to be able to try my hand at Japanese cooking in a small setting.
Even the basics of Japanese cuisine were explained in an exciting and fun way. We will definitely try out the recipes at home.
Chieko and Kaori were very kind, explained everything very well, and gave us some great tips!
We cooked dishes that we will definitely cook when we’re back home! The teacher was so welcoming and warm and walked us through the steps. We cooked a lot and it was fun
Our host Chieko was wonderful, very welcoming, and taught us lots of traditional Japanese cooking techniques. She also explained the origin of each ingredient and why it was useful in Japanese cuisine.
Lulu built the menu around our food preferences and shared cultural information while letting us all participate. She even helped us plate the meal so that we could beam with pride about our new-found artistry.
Amazing, really talkable and funny host, food was amazing, recipes sent home for us to try, instruction was very clear and easy to replicate. Awesome guide, awesome activity.
Enjoyed the experience as a family. It was organized and interactive. Food was abundant and delicious.

We will definitely be able to make sushi e miso soup back home. Lulu (Chieko) is super professional and friendly. she also gave us the recipes at the end of the lesson.
We really enjoyed the variety of the cooking items and options. We had a lot of fun making takoyaki, which we wouldn’t have the chance to do in the US. They were also accommodating for vegetarians
Amazing cooking class where we made Gyoza, Miso Soup, Pickled Cucumber snack and Takoyaki. The food was delicious and it was excellent being the only ones in the cooking class. Our instructor, Miyuki was excellent and took us through the steps very well. Thank you so much, this will be a memory we have forever!
Everything is very well explained, the two people were adorable and very educational. I recommend 100% without hesitation. The recipes are then sent by email with photos, which makes it easy to reproduce everything without remembering everything at the time. We were able to exchange at the end, which was super appreciable! Surely the best cooking class done so far. Thanks again for everything and the experience :) Alice
A amazing experience, to do if you like Japanese food ! The teacher was great
Our teachers were really patient with us, they took time to explain each ingredients we used during the cooking class. Thank you very much !
Nice dinner with friends!
Friendly and patient teacher. Okonomi set was great and will definitely try at home.
This was a fun, instructive and well organized 2.5 hours.
We had such a wonderful cooking workshop with our lovely instructor Chieko! We had a great time and we learned so much in such short time! The food was delicious. Can’t wait to try it at home.
The workshop space is perfectly equipped and cozy, Chieko is exceptionally kind and takes the time to explain the origin of the different ingredients, she shows the techniques with kindness even when we struggle with the chopsticks. The workshop was done entirely in English, with well-chosen and understandable vocabulary, all perfected by the tasting of our own preparations. A real treat! 😊
Aki san and Miyuki san were so kind, funny, entertaining, and knowledgeable. Our family, which includes a 17 year boy who wants to learn, and two experienced cooks who want to learn more, all got a lot out of the experience. Our guides gave us the cultural background on each of the dishes--and many of the individual ingredients. We were able to pick from a few different menus beforehand, so we could address any allergy or food restrictions in advance. With the photos and instructions we received, it was easy to find the kitchen after walking over from Shinjuku station. Meanwhile, we had a lot of fun prepping and cooking the dishes. Everything was delicious as well. We would definitely do this again on a future trip. We would definitely do this again on a future trip.
An excellent class with Two amazing ladies.
She taught the dishes cheerfully and with a lot of joy, especially things that she knew from home as a child... just home cooking!

In the words of my three teenage kids: "You've really pulled it out of the bag, Mum!" It was the most wonderful addition to our holiday, 3 days of which were in Tokyo. My children all said it was their favorite part of the entire cruise around Japan. We were taught with humor and patience and the food we cooked, our lunch, was delicious! It really was the best fun and worth every penny (yen). Wonderful experience and I certainly got some kudos from my family, husband included.
She answered all of our questions and spoke English very well. We really enjoyed that it was home style cooking, making it more believable that it could be achieved in our home when we return!
Chieko was an incredible and patient teacher, giving some very practical tips, easy to be recreated at home. definitely recommend
They were both super sweet and went above and beyond. As someone who likes to cook I would have preferred to do more of the cooking vs watching them cook as they explain what they were Hoing. We appreciated getting the cultural backgrounds behind the food that was being prepared. Overall it was it was a Fantastic experience and I would definitely recommend this activity
The organizers are very friendly and well prepared. Great activity!
Kayo was great and very kind. We cooked many dishes and learned a lot. I recommend this experience! Super!

Our teachers were fantastic, we learned how to make some of our favorite Japanese dishes. We all agreed it was one of our favorite things we did in Tokyo.
The host is very friendly and professional. She has a perfect command of the menu offered. The place is very functional. In short, I recommend.
Chieko and nickname Lulu told a lot about the ingredients and Japanese culture. We ate the recipes we made together at the end. It was also important that it was a small group of 5 people in total, which made it fun. Highly recommended to take this cooking class.
She was very knowledgeable and patient with us while describing the dishes and answering our questions, and the food turned out delicious!! We also had a great time chatting with Chef LuLu about Japanese culture, restaurants in the area, and other cities in Japan we were going to visit. She had great recommendations for us. Every touch Chef Lulu included made this a 5 star experience, from the recipes to the yummy meal to the photos she sent us from our experience. Thank you Chieko-San!!

Both instructors were so kind, patients and fun.
Super cozy place, we enjoyed a lot and learn so many useful recipes. Lulu is a very likeable host, she made everything easy to understand, and had a really nice courtesy with my husband due to his birthday.
We learn about the Japanese food. It was very nice atmosphere, the team was very professional and kind.
We had a great time and even though I know how to cook some Japanese dishes, I learned many valuable tips and how to cook the Japanese make stock using the real kelp and bonito vs out of a package. The instructors were very friendly and knowledgeable.
Lulu was very friendly and gracious! She made good effort to keep the conversation flowing and easy and even though we ended up arriving 10 minutes early accommodated us with grace. The food was great and she took the initiative since the menu we picked ended up being pretty easy to add a couple items in. Very interesting and I hope to take some of the techniques home with me.
We had valuable and wonderful time !! All the ingredient are prepared perfectly! We cooked three kinds of Japanese cuisines together and we enjoyed our meals together with cold sake. When I back to Japan, I would like to join this class again.
We had such an amazing experience! We got to make and eat some delicious food. Everything was well organized, and our hosts were kind and engaging. Highly recommend!
The kids loved making the pancakes, noodles, soup, salad and rolled egg. Thank you so much also for sending us home with the recipes.
I wish I would have done this my first week in Tokyo. I learned a lot. We managed to make five dishes! I can't wait to try them at home when I get the chance. I highly recommend this class for anyone that wants an actual hands on cooking class. We made everything from scratch, so I feel like I actually understand how to recreate them.
I had fun. She is good. I learned a lot of techniques in preparing the ingredients for many kinds of Japanese Cuisines. They all taste good. Thanks Lulu
I opened this cooking school to teach authentic Japanese home-style cuisine to overseas tourists and also foreign citizens living in Japan. Japanese cuisine (Washoku) has been registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2013.
When I lived abroad, Japanese cuisine was very popular among the local people because it is healthy, delicious, and beautifully presented on plates, however, no one had ever cooked it or knew how to make it. In my class, I teach not only traditional Japanese cuisine but also modern style which guests often see on Instagram or other social media influencer's posts. They can choose what type of cuisine they would like to learn.
I believe that the cooking experience of Japanese cuisine will be very enjoyable, valuable, and wonderful!! I hope that, through my cooking class, they will love Japanese cuisine and also Japanese culture even more.
