Relax over lunch on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius and enjoy discovering tasty local dishes paired with organic Lacryma Christi DOP del Vesuvio wines. We'll also have a guided tour through the winery and vineyards.
During the class, you will visit our vineyards and winery on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius with a guided walk and explanation of the production of Lacryma Christi. There are pair 5 Lacryma Christi DOP wines with lunch. Vegetarian and vegan options are available in this class.

- Antipasto with local specialties: salami, provolone cheese, casatiello, bruschetta with Piennolo tomatoes on wood-baked bread paired with:
- Lacryma Christi DOP del Vesuvio Bianco (100% Caprettone)
- Lacryma Christi DOP del Vesuvio Rosato (100% Piedirosso)
- Lacryma Christi DOP del Vesuvio Rosso (100% Piedirosso)
- Spaghetti with Piennolo tomato and basil sauce paired with:
- Lacryma Christi Riserva (80% Piedirosso and 20% Aglianico aged in French oak barrels between 18 and i 24 months)
- Pastiera Napoletana made with ricotta. grain, and candied fruit paired with:
- Capafresca Spumante Rosato (100% Aglianico)

Very pleasant visit
This family-owned vineyard welcomes visitors for very pleasant tasting meals. The setting is nice, and the welcome and service are friendly. To fully appreciate the wines being tasted, they serve a plate composed of high-quality charcuterie, cheeses, breads, vegetables, and a good dessert. The Lacryma Christi is indeed of good quality. The one I preferred is the superior red, a characterful wine with notes of red fruit and spices, and a good length on the palate. We also visited the cellar, which is ultra-modern and well-maintained, just like the trellised vines, with their rose bushes at the head of the rows! If you want to buy Lacryma Christi, this is a good address, but the prices are not cheap.

A Must See Stop!
We stopped at Cantina Del Vesuvio winery in the afternoon on our way into Sorrento. It was a wonderful wine tasting and lunch experience. Delicious olive oil, red wine vinegar & wine. The food they served was great as well. All in all a great experience!

Tasting Sunday
We chose the classic tasting "Lacryma Christi" at the Vesuvius Winery. Arrived on the spot (beautiful), welcomed us with a welcome sparkling wine and overwhelming sympathy, our guide Carmine, who made the guided tour very pleasant and professional at the winery and its vineyards. Then we sat down at the table and began our tasting. Genuine and delicious products accompanied by the four Lacryma Christi glasses, as expected. Very professional and polite staff, overall beautiful experience that I highly recommend to do. Sabrina and Francesco.

Great experience!
Visiting Cantine del Vesuvio is much more than a simple tasting: it is a total immersion in a corner of paradise, set in the heart of the protected area of the Vesuvius Park. From the first moment, Maurizio - an exceptional person for passion, hospitality and authenticity - makes you feel not a customer, but a special guest, as if you were at the home of a long-time friend. All products are absolutely natural, the result of meticulous and respectful work on the earth. Each bottle tells a story, each sip of wine reflects the love and care with which the grapes are grown, harvested and transformed. The tasting area is simply spectacular: sitting among the rows, with Vesuvius behind and the Gulf of Naples before your eyes, you can taste extraordinary wines combined with exquisite, typical dishes prepared with local ingredients.

An experience worth repeating
Owner/chef Ester gave us a special tour and allowed us to make a four course lunch in her home at the winery. We were in awe and loved making gnocchi and eggplant Parmesan. The wine and hospitality were great. We bought 5 cookbooks and I would go back in a second to try more food there.

Cantina del Vesuvio is located on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius, near the town of Trecase, Italy.
If you can't reach us by car we can provide a free shuttle service from the Circumvesuviana train station in Torre Annunziata Oplonti(2 stops after Pompeii going towards Naples). Please request shuttle service when you book.
