Dine With Locals

The class started with the lively local market tour and this was the great experience to know the real life of Vietnamese people. Following the tour we were invited to the gorgeous cooking class room and learned how to cook salad and spring rolls. we can learned not only how to cook but also the knowledge and history of Vietnamese cuisine including various ingredients. In total this was worth participating in this class to learn one part of the culture of Vietnam.

I liked that the chef gave alternatives in case we didn’t eat pork. We laughed a lot and learned a lot. Book this if you want to try REAL Bun Cha, not tourist version.

The cooking was well organized, and the teacher made it fun. I appreciated that it was simple enough to try again at home. Also enjoyed chatting with the small group!

We went to the market first, then cooked Bun Cha at a quiet local kitchen. The flavors were strong but delicious. And yes! The egg coffee is really that good!

I enjoy making drinks but never tried Vietnamese cocktail before. It was very interesting with herbs like lemongrass and basil. Also the food pairing was spot on. The class was chill and friendly atmosphere.

I booked this vegetarian cooking session last minute and was so happy I did! We cooked 4 dish, each one totally different. My favorite was the stir-fried mushroom. Everyone was friendly, made me feel at home. Will try these recipes when I'm back.

We wanted to try the vegan option and it was the MOST DELICIOUS vegan food I've ever had, and I'm not even a vegan! To top it all off, the food was fresh, the place was very homey and the host was extremely attentive.

The best part was probably the free beverages. We were parched after all of the activities and something to drink with our meals was really appreciated.

We have attended many cooking classes and cultural experiences in Thailand and Singapore, but Dine with locals was truly unique. Ethan, our chef was fantastic, providing clear, step-by-step instructions and engaging everyone with cultural stories and cooking tips for Vietnamese meals. My wife and I are not as sharp as we used to be, but Ethan made everything foolproof which I really appreciated. The food was simply delicious and excellent.We finished everything and we couldn't agree on a favourite because everything was delicious.
