In this very hands-on class, you learn to make 12 separate dishes from scratch! The class will start with a detailed explanation of the ingredients and you'll explore them with all your senses; their touch, color, and smell. Followed by your trying your hand at making shredded coconut the traditional way than making your individual coconut cream and milk from shredded coconut.
First, the talented chef will give a couple of demonstrations of dishes, after that, it's your turn to dive into the authentic cooking. You'll be preparing one dish at a time, giving each full attention. You'll pass by nearly all the authentic dishes of the Land of the Smile; Tom Yum clear, Pad Thai, Green curry paste, Green Papaya Salad, and many more. Additionally, in-class requests are also welcome.
Everyone is welcome in this class; vegetarians, vegans, families with children, meat lovers, people with food allergies, virgin cooks and accomplished chefs can all be found in any given 10 am class. The ingredients will be adjusted to each student's individual dietary needs.
