This experience begins among the Val Melaina stalls, the biggest and richest open-air market in Rome. There we will buy the freshest ingredients for the dishes we will be preparing. Then, at our home, the group will cook a meal utilizing everything we bought: vegetables, cheese, meat, etc.
For us, learning the culinary arts of Italy always starts with a glass of good wine. The cooking class always begins with a chilled, typically Umbrian white wine from the Trebbiano vineyard followed by a ruby red wine from the Ciliegiolo vineyard. These are served to accompany the starter first course of cold cuts and cheeses. Then, the basis of all Italian cuisine: extra virgin olive oil. This is the only oil that we use in our kitchen and you will use in your own creations.
This class includes the preparation of a pasta course (in the best Italian tradition). This will be the Bucatini "Amatriciana" style followed by the Spaghetti "Carbonara" style or Linguine with Pesto Sauce. Then the class will conclude with Tiramisu, an Italian sweet that cannot be missed. This is a perfect activity to spend a beautiful day with friends and family.
