Takoyaki is a classic Japanese dish loved by both adults and children. Often referred to as yatai-meshi (street food), it’s considered Japan’s “soul food” and is commonly enjoyed at food stalls across the country. Many Japanese households even own a special takoyaki maker, and making it at home is so popular that it's become a tradition known as a "Takoyaki Party."
In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn how to make takoyaki from scratch using a special takoyaki pan. We’ll guide you through preparing the batter, adding ingredients like octopus and green onions, and mastering the signature flipping technique that shapes the dough into perfect golden balls.
Freshly made takoyaki is a delight—crispy on the outside, soft and savory on the inside. You'll also get to customize your takoyaki with traditional toppings like Japanese mayonnaise, savory takoyaki sauce, bonito flakes, and more.
This fun and interactive class is more than just a cooking lesson—it’s a cultural exchange where you’ll connect with fellow participants from around the world. Whether you're a food lover or simply curious about Japanese culture, this experience offers a delicious and unforgettable taste of local tradition.
