Chilli Cool China

Wir haben einen Kochkurs mit fünf Gerichten besucht. Zuerst haben wir den lokalen Markt erkundet und einige Einheimische getroffen, die in den Innenhöfen Mahjong spielten. Danach sind wir zur Kochschule gelaufen, haben Tee getrunken und anschließend fünf Gerichte zubereitet. Die Küche war blitzsauber, der Koch und der Kursleiter waren sehr kompetent, freundlich und haben alle unsere Fragen beantwortet. Nach dem Kochen haben wir die zubereiteten Gerichte gemeinsam genossen. Ein tolles Erlebnis, absolut empfehlenswert!

Das war unser zweiter Kurs bei Lance. Wir bereuen es nicht, ihn wiederholt zu haben. Er ist immer so nett und freundlich. Das Nudelgericht, das wir zubereitet haben, war köstlich.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Vormittag mit Lance. Er war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und ein toller Lehrer. Wir besuchten einen lokalen Markt und bereiteten anschließend Baozi zu, die köstlich waren. Wir würden das sehr gerne wiederholen.

Jerry war einfach wunderbar. Er hat mir nicht nur gezeigt, wie man Baozi zubereitet, sondern mir auch viele Tipps und Empfehlungen für Sehenswürdigkeiten und Aktivitäten gegeben, und wir haben zusammen ein köstliches Essen genossen. Auch der Marktbesuch war fantastisch. Vielen Dank!

Der Besuch des nahegelegenen Marktes war eine gute Vorbereitung auf die praktische Übung. Wir haben fünf Gerichte für ein komplettes Menü zubereitet. Einige davon werde ich definitiv zu Hause nachkochen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Wir waren von allem begeistert, vom Besuch des lokalen Marktes bis zum Kochkurs. Jerry war sehr herzlich und erklärte uns alles, von den Zutaten bis zum Lebensstil der Menschen in Chengdu. Der Marktbesuch war das absolute Highlight meiner Reise. Eine supernette Tante half uns während des Kochkurses. Wir haben wahrscheinlich das beste Mapo Tofu zubereitet, das wir je gekocht haben. Außerdem lernten wir, wie man doppelt gegartes Schweinefleisch zubereitet – eine wirklich tolle Entdeckung! Vielen Dank nochmal!

Unser Guide Jerry war einfach großartig – er nahm uns mit auf eine spannende Tour über den lokalen Markt und gab uns einen faszinierenden Einblick in die vielfältige Esskultur Chengdus. Jerry war überaus freundlich und geduldig und sprach hervorragendes Englisch, was das Erlebnis noch schöner machte. Der Kochkurs selbst war fantastisch. Wir lernten, authentische Gerichte mit frischen Zutaten zuzubereiten, und die praktische Erfahrung war sowohl unterhaltsam als auch lehrreich. Das Essen, das wir kochten, war köstlich, und wir werden die gesamte Erfahrung immer in bester Erinnerung behalten. Wir können Chilly Cool Workshop jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der in die kulinarische Szene Chengdus eintauchen möchte. Vielen Dank, Jerry, und dem gesamten Team für diesen unvergesslichen Tag!

Der Gewürzmarkt und die vielen verschiedenen Angebote dort waren toll, darunter die Zubereitung von Teigtaschen und die Verkostung lokaler Spirituosen. Unser Guide Lance sprach fließend Englisch und war sehr hilfsbereit, sowohl beim Übersetzen als auch beim Fotografieren. Dank seiner Ortskenntnis gab er uns einen guten Einblick in das lokale Leben und half uns, die Kultur intensiver zu erleben. Wir können diesen Kurs wärmstens empfehlen, wenn Sie Interesse daran haben, lokale Gerichte zu probieren und selbst zuzubereiten!

Jerry, unser Guide, ist ein sehr netter und kompetenter Mensch. Wir waren zu viert in unserer Gruppe. Jerry führte uns zum Markt, stellte uns die Köstlichkeiten Chengdus und die frischen Zutaten (Geflügel, Gemüse usw.) vor, die man dort findet. Anschließend spazierten wir zur nahegelegenen Chili Cook Kitchen. Der Kurs wurde von Köchin Li geleitet, die uns bei der Zubereitung der frischen Zutaten für die fünf Sichuan-Gerichte anleitete, die wir an diesem Tag kochten. Ich werde definitiv wieder einen Kurs buchen, wenn ich das nächste Mal in Chengdu bin (um andere Sichuan-Gerichte zu kochen), und für Kochkurse in anderen Ländern werde ich die Website von Cookly besuchen! Ein stolzer und glücklicher Kursteilnehmer!

Ein super Erlebnis, das erste Mal, und bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal. Das Team ist sehr nett, das Essen ist großartig, wir können es wirklich empfehlen.

Lance was absolutely gorgeous! He guided us around the market, answered all our questions and was happy to find new friends. After mastering our own little challenges on the market, we went to the kitchen including a nice room for dining and prepared our meal with a pretty friendly cook! We were a group of six and we even prepared vegetarian dished for two of us :-) All in all, it was an awesome experience - we can absolutely recommend it! Thanks a lot! Patricia

We had Lance who clearly loves showing off Chengdu. We liked especially the time in the market and he was great letting everyone take time to buy stuff we also wanted.

We had the most amazing day with Lance who met us at our hotel and took us around a local market where we had a chance to try some food and practice our Chinese, it was really interesting. The cooking class was so much fun, as someone who never cooks the bun class was the perfect choice as although it was quite difficult they were so much fun to make and eat afterward. It’s great that they offer a vegetarian option too! We then had a wonderful afternoon eating our baozi with a free beer and getting to know the rest of the group. Lance was a great instructor and great to chat with, even giving us all a lovely gift at the end. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon, we can’t wait to return to try another class with Chilli Cool!

Very interactive and fun afternoon. Great atmosphere, clear instructions and good food! The market tour with Lance exceeded our expectations and the Baozi folding technique is really something special to master. Highly recommend.

After a week of working in Chengdu, I had 1 vacation day and I attended the "Half-Day Chengdu Courtyard Cooking Class with Local Spice Market Visit", lucky me. It was such a great experience. The guide name is Lance zhou which is super kind, funny, intelligent and has excellent English. We were a group of 4 (2 from Israel & 2 from Korea) and the market tour guided by lance was very interesting, we tasted and experienced many things in the market including preparing dumpling. Next stop was cooking the dishes, in a beautiful place near the market, with a very professional kitchen, the dishes were very tasty and most important the atmosphere was just amazing, I didn't stop smiling the entire day :)

Ocean was a very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional as my guide. She explained details about the local ingredients that were very relatable and easy to understand to an English speaker. I sincerely feel that I will be able to make the recipes when I return home.

Informative, fun and finished with some great food!

I went with two other people. Got picked up on time at my hotel lobby. We visited a local market first and the guide explained about the market food, Chinese herbs and so much more. We cooked three dishes on a wok in a very relaxed atmosphere. It was so friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend it enough if you are in Chengdu. It would be suitable for all ages, young and old.

At first I was a little bit hesitated to take this class because there are not many information. That is because this class has been only one year. And also I was worried because I am not a good cook. But you don't need to worry it also. You would get a perfect instruction from guide and chef. I hope everybody who is planning to go Chengdu take this class!!! This class is awesome. - You are going to go local <<grocery>> market first. You can learn what kind of ingredients are used in China and also smell different kind of spices. There are alot more but it is related to missions so I can't mention it here. (Because it is written as 'Spice market' I thought there would be spices only. But it was more than that.) - The guide would give you a mission so you can get involved to the market. Not just roaming around the shop. - While you are heading to the courtyard, you can pass by mah-jong game place. I saw a automatic mah-jong table there. - Before the class starts, drink a cup of tea together. - There's a chef and he teaches you how to cook. The guide would translate what the chef said. - If you are not a good cook, don't worry. You can also tase the food made by chef. And the chef and guide help you all the time. - Our guide's name is 'Lance'. He is awesome! Not only a great guide, but also a great friend. And very good looking guy(we promised him to mention this hahaha). - Plz do not miss this class!!!!!!!!!!!! 여러분 요리를 못하거나 가서 뻘쭘할까봐 망설이고 계시다면 절대 그런생각 마시고 꼭 들으세요~ 정말 최고의 시간이었어요!!!
