Hanoi Cooking Classes

Had a wonderful time learning from Chef Duyen. She was meticulous and very passionate about teaching and cooking. Learnt a lot about Vietnamese cooking and culture from that short session. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a local cooking experience in Hanoi. It was a whole “bun cha” fun and definitely the real “dill”

The class was wonderful :) ruby gave our family a private class and even my 5 yo daughter and 8 yo could participate in the class. She gave us time to translate to them and really involved them. We got to cook 5 dishes and ate so much. The food was really delicious and we feel confident we will be able to do it again. We had enough for breakfast the next morning also! Would really recommend the class!

Der Kochkurs mit Ruby war super. Als wir ankamen ging es direkt los und wir haben zusammen gegenüber eingekauft. Ruby hat einiges dazu erzählt und erklärt. Wir haben zu sechst gekocht, es war alles super gut vorbereitet und durch Rubys Anleitung ging es einfach und unkompliziert von der Hand. Am Ende hatten wir ein leckeres Essen zusammen und haben alle gemeinsamen noch bisschen erzählt. Alles in allem eine schöne Sache, bei der man noch was lernt und mit tollem Essen belohnt wird. Und Ruby war die beste Lehrerin die man sich vorstellen kann.

Everything was just great! Mai and her husband Hieu had a great vibe and really showed me some new skills in the kitchen. I can totally recommend this course! Thank you both for everything!

Is like you are cooking with a friend, but in this case Mai Is an expert, she explain every step of cooking and make you part of the process. I didnt know how much work It requires to make a good spring rolls. It was a great class about the complex of the vietnamita cook. Thanks Mai and Hieu.

We sampled a great selection of street food. Absolutely delicious. Max was an entertaining and informative guide who loves food. We were looked after well. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed this class from the very first minute. Ling took us to the market and told us about the different types of food. We then went to a lovely venue and she showed us how to cook various vegan dishes. We all joined in the fun. I highly recommend this adventure into Vietnamese cooking.

Vanessa was a wonderful, energetic and lovely guide who knew what she was doing. We learned not only the general way around a Vietnamese market (a fine line between ripoff and staying a decent human being), we got general directions to understanding the local cuisine, got a great meal together and would have easily done the coffee tour as well. Sadly we had to leave Hanoi already. Can absolutely recommend the experience, especially in the beginning of your journey.

If you want to try some new Vietnamese foods, or maybe you’re intimidated by the street side food stalls, or you want to learn more about Hanoi culture, then I recommend booking this tour. Dung was the best tour guide! We ate maybe 8 or so new foods/drinks at different shops, and she also told me a lot about the history of the area and how Hanoi people live! So insightful and very kind. I was alone and was a little worried about it being awkward or there being too much food, but Dung was so friendly and knowledgeable, and helped me gauge how much I should eat to make sure I could enjoy the tour fully ~ If you’re considering a food tour, then go for it!! I recommend bringing an umbrella, water, and hand sanitizer! My favorite was the fresh sugarcane juice after walking around in the heat!!

It was an unforgettable experience! Our guide, Trang, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. She shared a wealth of stories and insights about Vietnamese culture, history, and the unique dishes we tried. What made this tour special was the focus on vegan cuisine. As someone who enjoys plant-based food, I was thrilled to explore the variety of vegan dishes that Hanoi has to offer. From delicious papaya salad, typical vietnamese breakfast, fruits, drinks. every dish was a delight. Our guide took us to hidden gems, places we would never have found on our own, and introduced us to the diverse flavors of Vietnamese vegan cuisine. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Hanoi, whether you're a vegan or just a food lover looking to experience the rich flavors of Vietnam in a unique way

Angelina was an awesome guide. We heard interesting stories and enjoyed delicious vegan food.

Truly a cooking class like no other. The chef takes you to a bunch of local vendors in the neighbourhood, which are all happy to see you :), pick up all the fresh ingredients, meats, fish, learn more about popular herbs and condiments. Then hands on the cooking starts! The chef and assistants have already prepared the cooking station and the chef then explains each cooking technique needed to make the dish. We made: - Bánh Xèo: Crispy Vietnamese pancake with a savoury filling, rolled in spring role with perfect dipping sauce using kumquat to perfectly balance. - Bun Cha: BBQ marinated pork with a dipping sauce and fresh noodles all from scratch then carefully grilled by the chefs assistant over charcoal - Banana flower salad: learned the proper cutting technique, how to make the salad nice an crunchy topped with peanuts this was truly a delight! - Egg Coffee: Special request from me because I fell in love with this type of sweet coffee created in Hanoi. Honestly this was the best cooking class I've ever done, especially because of the skill level of the chef, would recommend 100%.

May was a great teacher, she really explained the history of the food we prepared and gave us many facts on ingredients and cooking technqiues. She truly involved all of us in the class and made sure it was as much fun as possible! The food was great and we made so much i could even take some home as a bonus :) Would recomend this class to my friends
