Edwina created recipes based on what I liked to eat. Great conversation in her beautiful Riad. Meal was very good. Five stars - highly recommend!
Attending our first cooking class, learning Moroccan spices, and discovering orange blossom water!
super punctual and accomodating, catering to vegan/vegetarian, lovely guys!
This was an AMAZING experience. To think that I wasn't going to book it. I learned so much from the entire experience and the staff really got you involved and feeling like a celebrity on Top Chef. Everything was well prepared, organized and professional. I highly recommend you do not leave Marrakech without doing this.
The cookery course was aimed at all levels and was great fun. The Chef was funny and interactive and the facilities were brilliant. We loved it. We even got a tagine pot to take away.
I loved that we shopped locally for the vegetables and we were all given jobs to do in class, peeling, slicing and dicing as well as grilling the eggplant
The class was well organised. We learnt a great recipe and enjoyed eating what we cooked. It was a quick class which didn’t interfere with our other plans. Would thoroughly recommend and would return if other quick recipes are on offer
We had a wonderful time as a whole family. This is an authentic experience in a beautiful riad with exceptional food and a highly experienced chef. The kitchen is small, but spotlessly clean. We learned how to make mint tea properly, Moroccan salad, 2 homemade tagines, delicious couscous. This riad has alcohol, so you can enjoy wine, beer, or cocktails with your dinner. This experience has our whole family’s highest recommendation.
Fantastic team, amusing, informative, professional and full of warmth.
Beautiful location, easy to make, cooked over charcoal. While waiting for it to be ready, we relaxed on the sunbeds. The tea ceremony and all the fun facts made it perfect. And last but not least, the food was delicious :)
I spent four days in Marrakech with my family and we decided to take a cooking class. We couldn't have made a better choice! Everything was well organized and managed. The two chefs involved us closely in the preparation of the dishes, providing lots of explanations and truly showing us how to make a tagine. Then, together with the other participants, we ate the cooked dishes for dinner. Definitely worth doing again!
Knowledgable and enthusiastic teachers. Lovely venue!
The class was a brilliant experience. The food was simple but so full of flavours, and everyone had fun preparing the dishes. Three of us were gluten-free, and everything was naturally gluten-free apart from the dessert. Would definitely recommend.
Exceeded our expectations
In Marrakech, cooking classes usually focus on classic Moroccan staples such as tagine, couscous, pastilla, and harira soup, often paired with fresh herbs and spices from the local market.
Yes, many Marrakech cooking schools offer vegan options, using ingredients like chickpeas, lentils, and seasonal vegetables to create flavorful tagines and salads.
A market tour before the class lets you explore the bustling souks, pick out fragrant spices, and learn about local produce, which you then use in the hands‑on cooking session.
Absolutely—many classes welcome families, offering kid‑friendly recipes, a relaxed pace, and a safe kitchen environment for all ages.
Classes usually run 3 to 4 hours, covering prep, cooking, and tasting, and are offered in English, French, and sometimes Arabic to accommodate international travelers.
It’s customary to remove shoes before entering the kitchen, respect the chef’s guidance, and be prepared for a high spice level—ask for milder versions if needed.
During Ramadan, classes may feature iftar specialties like sweet pastries and dates, while summer sessions often highlight fresh mint, citrus, and grilled vegetables.
The combination of a local chef’s storytelling, the aroma of spices, and the opportunity to taste freshly made tagine right after cooking creates a truly immersive experience.
