What to Expect

Discover the flavors of Czech cuisine in this hands-on cooking experience in Prague. Begin your culinary journey with a visit to the vibrant Holešovice Market, one of the country's most famous markets, where you'll explore local produce and learn how to select the freshest ingredients for traditional Czech dishes. (For Thursday classes, the market visit is replaced with extra time in the kitchen, where you'll be welcomed with local delicacies and wine.)

Back in the kitchen, you'll learn how to prepare a classic 3-course Czech menu from scratch. Under the guidance of your local host, you'll make Kulajda, a creamy traditional soup, followed by Czech goulash served with dumplings, and finish with povidlové buchty, sweet Czech buns filled with plum jam.

Throughout the class, you'll gain practical cooking skills, learn about traditional ingredients and techniques, and discover the tools commonly used in Czech kitchens. This experience is suitable for all skill levels, from complete beginners to enthusiastic home cooks.

After cooking, sit down and enjoy the delicious meal you've prepared together, accompanied by drinks provided by your host. You'll also receive a recipe booklet and personalized recommendations for the best food and wine experiences in Prague, allowing you to continue your Czech culinary adventure long after the class ends.
