Your day begins with hotel pick-up in Cairo and a scenic one-hour drive to Dahshur, a fertile farming region known as the "land of one million palm trees." Upon arrival, you'll be warmly welcomed by Somaya, her mother, and her younger sister with a refreshing seasonal fruit drink before enjoying a traditional Egyptian breakfast featuring freshly baked feteer meshaltet, crispy falafel, local cheese, black honey, and fragrant mint tea.

After breakfast, explore the family farm and learn about the area's agricultural traditions. Depending on the season, you may see date harvesting in action, stroll among the palm trees, and meet friendly farm animals including ducks and cows.

Next, immerse yourself in Egypt's living traditions as local farmers greet you with folkloric music and drumming before demonstrating how to prepare baladi bread. Try your hand at flipping the dough and baking it in a traditional oven, then create sweet date energy balls coated in coconut and bake oras bel agwa, one of Egypt's most beloved date-filled cookies.

While your treats are baking, discover the region's handcrafted traditions by weaving your own palm leaf bracelet and creating simple Bedouin-inspired crafts to take home as meaningful souvenirs.

The experience concludes with a generous organic farm-to-table lunch featuring homemade Egyptian specialties such as mahshy (stuffed grape leaves), molokheya, roasted chicken, and potatoes cooked in tomato sauce.
