Nous avons participé à un cours de cuisine de cinq plats. Nous avons d'abord visité le marché local et rencontré des habitants jouant au MH Jong dans les cours. Ensuite, nous nous sommes rendus à l'école de cuisine, avons pris le thé, puis avons préparé les cinq plats. La cuisine était d'une propreté impeccable, le chef et le guide étaient très compétents et aimables, et ont répondu à toutes nos questions. Après la préparation, nous avons dégusté les plats ensemble. Une expérience formidable, à recommander absolument !

C'est le 2e cours que nous suivions avec Lance. Aucun regret d'avoir réitéré l'expérience. Il est toujours aussi agréable et sympathique. Le plat de noodle que nous avons réalisé était délicieux.

Nous avons passé une très bonne matinée avec Lance. Il a été très sympa, accueillant et pédagogue. Nous avons visité un marché local puis avons réalisé des Baozi qui étaient très bons. Expérience à refaire.

Jerry était formidable. Non seulement il m'a appris à faire des baos, mais il m'a aussi donné de précieux conseils et suggestions sur les choses à voir et à faire, et nous avons partagé un excellent repas. La visite du marché était également fantastique. Merci !

La visite du marché local, tout près de l'école de cuisine, a été une excellente introduction avant la pratique. Nous avons préparé cinq plats pour un repas complet. Je compte bien en reproduire certains à la maison. Je recommande vivement cette école.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour, de la visite du marché local au cours de cuisine. Jerry nous a accueillis chaleureusement et nous a tout expliqué, des ingrédients au mode de vie des habitants de Chengdu. La visite du marché a été le point d'orgue de notre voyage. Une tante adorable nous a accompagnés pendant le cours de cuisine. Nous avons sans doute préparé le meilleur mapo tofu de notre vie ! Nous avons aussi appris à faire du porc deux fois cuit, une véritable révélation ! Merci encore !

Jerry, notre guide, était fantastique : il nous a fait découvrir le marché local de manière passionnante, nous offrant un aperçu fascinant de la richesse de la culture culinaire de Chengdu. Jerry était extrêmement gentil, patient et parlait un excellent anglais, ce qui a rendu l'expérience encore plus agréable. Le cours de cuisine était tout simplement génial. Nous avons appris à préparer des plats authentiques avec des ingrédients frais, et cette expérience pratique était à la fois ludique et instructive. Les plats que nous avons cuisinés étaient délicieux, et nous garderons un souvenir impérissable de cette expérience. Nous recommandons vivement le Chilly Cool Workshop à tous ceux qui souhaitent s'immerger dans la scène culinaire de Chengdu. Merci à Jerry et à toute l'équipe pour cette journée mémorable !

Le marché aux épices et la découverte des différentes spécialités locales étaient formidables, notamment la confection de raviolis et la dégustation d'alcools forts locaux. Notre guide, Lance, parlait couramment anglais et s'est montré très serviable, tant pour la traduction que pour la prise de photos. Grâce à sa connaissance approfondie de la ville, il nous a permis de mieux comprendre la vie locale et de vivre pleinement la culture. Nous recommandons vivement ce cours si vous souhaitez découvrir et cuisiner des plats locaux !

Jerry, notre guide, est une personne très sympathique et compétente. Nous étions quatre dans notre groupe. Jerry nous a emmenés au marché et nous a fait découvrir les spécialités de Chengdu, notamment les ingrédients frais (volailles, légumes, etc.) qu'on y trouve. Ensuite, nous sommes allés au restaurant Chili Cook Kitchen, situé à proximité. Le cours était animé par la cheffe Li, qui nous a appris à préparer les ingrédients frais pour les cinq plats sichuanais que nous avons cuisinés ce jour-là. Je réserverai sans hésiter une autre session lors de mon prochain séjour à Chengdu (pour cuisiner d'autres plats sichuanais), et pour d'autres pays, je consulterai le site web de Cookly pour découvrir les cours de cuisine proposés ! Une élève ravie et fière !

Lance was absolutely gorgeous! He guided us around the market, answered all our questions and was happy to find new friends. After mastering our own little challenges on the market, we went to the kitchen including a nice room for dining and prepared our meal with a pretty friendly cook! We were a group of six and we even prepared vegetarian dished for two of us :-) All in all, it was an awesome experience - we can absolutely recommend it! Thanks a lot! Patricia

We had Lance who clearly loves showing off Chengdu. We liked especially the time in the market and he was great letting everyone take time to buy stuff we also wanted.

We had the most amazing day with Lance who met us at our hotel and took us around a local market where we had a chance to try some food and practice our Chinese, it was really interesting. The cooking class was so much fun, as someone who never cooks the bun class was the perfect choice as although it was quite difficult they were so much fun to make and eat afterward. It’s great that they offer a vegetarian option too! We then had a wonderful afternoon eating our baozi with a free beer and getting to know the rest of the group. Lance was a great instructor and great to chat with, even giving us all a lovely gift at the end. Thank you for a wonderful afternoon, we can’t wait to return to try another class with Chilli Cool!

Very interactive and fun afternoon. Great atmosphere, clear instructions and good food! The market tour with Lance exceeded our expectations and the Baozi folding technique is really something special to master. Highly recommend.

After a week of working in Chengdu, I had 1 vacation day and I attended the "Half-Day Chengdu Courtyard Cooking Class with Local Spice Market Visit", lucky me. It was such a great experience. The guide name is Lance zhou which is super kind, funny, intelligent and has excellent English. We were a group of 4 (2 from Israel & 2 from Korea) and the market tour guided by lance was very interesting, we tasted and experienced many things in the market including preparing dumpling. Next stop was cooking the dishes, in a beautiful place near the market, with a very professional kitchen, the dishes were very tasty and most important the atmosphere was just amazing, I didn't stop smiling the entire day :)

Ocean was a very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional as my guide. She explained details about the local ingredients that were very relatable and easy to understand to an English speaker. I sincerely feel that I will be able to make the recipes when I return home.

Informative, fun and finished with some great food!

I went with two other people. Got picked up on time at my hotel lobby. We visited a local market first and the guide explained about the market food, Chinese herbs and so much more. We cooked three dishes on a wok in a very relaxed atmosphere. It was so friendly and welcoming. I can’t recommend it enough if you are in Chengdu. It would be suitable for all ages, young and old.

At first I was a little bit hesitated to take this class because there are not many information. That is because this class has been only one year. And also I was worried because I am not a good cook. But you don't need to worry it also. You would get a perfect instruction from guide and chef. I hope everybody who is planning to go Chengdu take this class!!! This class is awesome. - You are going to go local <<grocery>> market first. You can learn what kind of ingredients are used in China and also smell different kind of spices. There are alot more but it is related to missions so I can't mention it here. (Because it is written as 'Spice market' I thought there would be spices only. But it was more than that.) - The guide would give you a mission so you can get involved to the market. Not just roaming around the shop. - While you are heading to the courtyard, you can pass by mah-jong game place. I saw a automatic mah-jong table there. - Before the class starts, drink a cup of tea together. - There's a chef and he teaches you how to cook. The guide would translate what the chef said. - If you are not a good cook, don't worry. You can also tase the food made by chef. And the chef and guide help you all the time. - Our guide's name is 'Lance'. He is awesome! Not only a great guide, but also a great friend. And very good looking guy(we promised him to mention this hahaha). - Plz do not miss this class!!!!!!!!!!!! 여러분 요리를 못하거나 가서 뻘쭘할까봐 망설이고 계시다면 절대 그런생각 마시고 꼭 들으세요~ 정말 최고의 시간이었어요!!!
