Hands-On Portuguese Cooking Class

Learn all the secrets about the Portuguese gastronomy while you cook your own dinner. During the class, we will share with you all the tips and secrets about the recipes. In the end, we will pair our dinner with Portuguese red and white wine or soft drinks. Wine and snacks will be available during the class: some people say the best way to cook is with a glass of wine in your hand.

What to expect: While pastry is a science, cooking is an art, so we will have recipes to guide us. We will do some free-style during the class, so if you like to take notes bring a pen, since you will have the printed recipes to take home with you. 

You will mainly learn about the Portuguese way of cooking and its ingredients. On our classes you’ll work together with other students in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional chef instructors. You will be standing, cooking and working for most of the class.

Menu

The menu may vary according to season and available products, but you can count with:

• Starter course (Usually a light dish based on salted cod fish)
• Main course (Usually a meat dish)
• Dessert (Portuguese traditional pastry)
• Wine, soft drinks and coffee or tea included

Programme

Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays

• 6:30 pm: Meeting point at Lisbon Cooking Academy
• 10:00 pm: End of class
