Visit Hoi An’s colorful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.

We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.

On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs about 2 hours: the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving for plate decoration. After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked.

Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our 20-metre swimming pool, towels and showers provided.

The class includes

• 3 different welcome drinks (drinking water / local beer / soft drinks / juice)
• Local English speaking tour guide and chef.

• Lunch includes the above dishes as well as:
  BBQ lemongrass beef with local herbs, lettuce & mustard leaf wraps (not included in the demonstration).

• Vegetarians are provided with replacement ingredients

Sample Schedule:

• 8:15 am: Meet at Hai Cafe (center of Hoi An Old Town) with a welcome drink
• 8:30 am: Tour of Hoi An's central market
• 9:30 am: Leisurely boat ride on Hoi An River to Red Bridge
• 10 am: Herb garden tour
• 10:15 am: Cooking Class
• 12:15 am: Enjoy your meal with beautiful river views
• 12:45 pm: End of the class, minivan transfer to central Hoi An
