Discover Hoi An's Culinary Traditions with Market Tour and Cooking Class

This experience is your chance to discover the culinary traditions of Hoi An and central Vietnam. 

First, we'll explore the cultural center market with typical Vietnamese stalls such as fish stalls, vegetable stalls, spice stalls, meat stalls, and handicrafts.

We will also enjoy snacks and drinks at the market like the locals. Experience shopping, bargaining, identifying, and classifying the quality of vegetables, food, and spices.

Then, we'll return to Hoi An Heart Restaurant to attend a cooking class where the head chef will teach you how to cook traditional Vietnamese dishes and share their experiences and culinary culture from the different regions of Vietnam that create the uniqueness of Vietnamese cuisine.

• Nem rán Hội An (Deep-fried spring rolls, Minced pork, vegetables, and spices wrapped in rice paper served with local “Tra Que”'s herbs, pickles, and sweet and sour sauce)

• Bánh xèo (Crispy fried flour pancakes filled with bean sprouts, pork, and shrimp wrapped with rice paper, and served with local herbs, salad, pineapple, pickle, and dipping sauce)

• Cao Lầu Phố Hội (Thick rice noodles topped with slow-cooked pork slices, and rice crackers, and served with pork broth, bean sprouts, and “Tra Que”’ local herbs)

• Trái cây theo mùa (seasonal fruits)

Morning tour: 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

• Local guide picks up guests at their hotel.
• Welcome guests to Hoi An Heart Kitchen.
• Introduce the program and class schedule.
• Prepare a list of ingredients needed for the menu.
• Enjoy lunch/dinner at the restaurant.
• Receive a special gift from the head chef.
• Thanks and escort guests back to the hotel.
