Our chef, Kogi, made whole experience very nice and smooth. Cooking was fun and the taste was amazing.
We started with the market tour at Tiong Bahru Market. Ryan provided us with lots of interesting background information: the history of the area, the market, the products on offer and the variety of hawker stalls. Afterwards we took a taxi to the cooking school. It is perfectly furnished so that we could start cooking right away. Ryan is an absolutely competent cooking professional, so we were able to benefit a lot. Enjoying the three-course meal was the perfect end to this great event.
The class was very enjoyable. My husband and I were taught by Lena. She was very nice and gave us great recommendations for the rest of our stay here in Singapore! We had a lot of fun learning how to make the food. I would highly recommend taking this class.
Lena was so accommodating and patience to teach me in detailed. She was excellent and well prepared for my questions during the class. Highly recommended .
Lena and Eddie were knowledgable, friendly, and a ton of fun. They were well prepared, the recipe was easy to follow, and the view from the loft was fantastic. We peppered them with all kinds of questions regarding things to do/eat in Singapore and their suggestions were fantastic. Would definitely do again!
I cannot rate this place high enough. I had a brilliant time learning new things about food. Lena is friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. The location is very convenient and The Baking Loft is beautifully decorated and organized. You definitely feel like you’re in a real kitchen. Unlike a lot of cooking schools in Singapore, this one is smaller, which is important because you get a lot more attention from the chef, can ask lots of questions and get a much better sense of what it means to cook locally. I’m definitely coming back next time I’m in Singapore!
This was my first time joining a cooking class in Singapore. It's an awesome cooking class at a reasonable price. My teacher Lena was so nice and friendly, she picked me up from the lobby to her neat & beautiful workshop on time. She was so professional as well to teach me the skills to cook those yummy Singaporean dishes! I had a really good time with Lena, and I would definitely recommend this cooking class to everyone who is interested in cooking and planning to visit Singapore.
I had a lovely time learning classic Singapore dishes. Very helpful with the questions I have and very generous in sharing cooking techniques. Thank you for being accommodating and helpful.
The lesson is enjoyable and engaging. I find the instructor knowledgeable and helpful. I will recommend others to the class. I was grateful the ingredients were some I could purchase in Australia. It was interesting to find sugar would lower the “bite” of the chilli heat!
