What to Expect

Taiyaki is a traditional Japanese snack that has been enjoyed for over 100 years and is beloved by every Japanese person. Originally, during the Edo period, taiyaki was filled only with red bean paste. However, in the Meiji period, Western-style fillings like cream began to be introduced, adding variety to this classic treat.

Since 2019, we have been offering hands-on cooking classes where participants can make their own taiyaki. About 70-80% of our customers are Japanese, but we also welcome foreign tourists to experience the joy of making taiyaki—a treat cherished by the locals.

While we may not be fluent in English, we will do our best to accommodate you and ensure you have a memorable experience

You may choose up to 2 fillings per person from the following options:

• Red bean paste
• Custard cream
• Matcha paste
• Sweet potato (organic sweet potato, honey, butter)
• Apple pie (apple, honey, cinnamon)
• Spicy keema curry
• Tuna & mayonnaise
• Corn dog (hot dog) style
• Korean style (kimchi, cheese)
• Cheese (not sweet)
• Okonomiyaki style (cabbage, bacon, red ginger, green seaweed, dried bonito flakes, mayonnaise, okonomiyaki sauce)

Schedule

• Enter the store and complete the reception.
• Select your preferred ingredients.
• Watch a video to learn about the history of taiyaki and how it's made (this step may be skipped depending on time and group size).
• Prepare the dough.
• Bake your taiyaki.
• Take a commemorative photo with your finished taiyaki and enjoy tasting it!
