Former Japanese cuisine chefs will guide you step-by-step, ensuring even beginners feel comfortable. In a fun and relaxed setting, you'll learn how to make sushi rice, rolled sushi, omelets, and matcha. With clear support from our English-speaking guide, you'll have the freedom to ask questions throughout the session.

You'll also receive recipes to recreate the dishes at home, making it ideal for impressing guests at your next gathering. This experience is perfect for families, providing a unique opportunity for parents and children to bond while discovering Japanese food culture together.

Our classroom is conveniently located in Zoshigaya, just a direct train ride from Shibuya on the Fukutoshin Line, passing by landmarks like Meiji Shrine and Shinjuku. The nearest station, Ikebukuro, is a hub for shopping with destinations such as Animate, Pokémon Center, and electronics stores. After your lesson, take a relaxing walk to the nearby Kishimo Shrine, a serene spot adorned with red torii gates

This lesson provides you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in Japanese culture under the guidance of a professional chef. Here's what you can experience:

• History and Tools:

Learn about the history of futomaki and sushi while discovering the tools and seasonings used in their preparation. This will deepen your understanding of basic cooking techniques.

• How to Make Sushi Rice:

Master the art of making sushi rice using a special sushi tub. With this skill, you'll be able to make delicious sushi at home!

• Fish Handling Demonstration:

Watch a professional chef demonstrate how to properly cut fish.

• Making Futomaki:

Experience the fun of rolling your own futomaki using a special sushi mat. With fresh ingredients, you’ll make sushi rolls perfect for family and friends gatherings. This is a great opportunity for parents and children to learn together, strengthen family bonds, and explore Japanese food culture.

• Making Dashimaki Tamago:

Learn the techniques for making fluffy dashi maki tamago using a specialized frying pan. Enjoy the professional taste of this Japanese omelet right at home.

• Miso Soup

Note:　

• On the day of the class, you can enjoy the following drinks for an additional 500 yen each, payable in cash:

  • Sake: Hakkaisan (180ml)
  • Beer: Kirin Ichiban Shibori (350ml)

• Vegetarian and halal menu options are not available.

• Aprons are provided, so there’s no need to bring anything.

11:20 AM 

• Dashi-Maki Tamago may seem simple, but it actually requires skill. In this class, you'll learn how to make this classic dish using a specialized tamagoyaki pan. You'll master the techniques for rolling and cooking the omelet, enabling you to recreate an authentic flavor at home.

11:50 AM

• In this class, you'll make authentic futomaki sushi using freshly prepared sushi rice and high-quality ingredients. We’ll teach you the techniques for rolling sushi and combining ingredients using a bamboo mat. While maki sushi might look easy, it has a lot of depth. It’s perfect for picnics, family events, and home parties. Parents and children can join together to learn and have fun, making it a great opportunity for family bonding and learning about Japanese food culture.

• It's time for the much-awaited tasting! Savor the dishes you’ve prepared while enjoying engaging conversation. To enhance your meal, the chef’s delicious miso soup will also be served, adding an extra layer of flavor.

12:40 AM

• Visit a local supermarket with a chef and discover unique ingredients only found in Japan while learning about Japanese food culture. It's also perfect for souvenir shopping!

• Time for the much-awaited tasting! Relish the dishes you’ve prepared and enjoy some engaging conversation. The chef’s delicious miso soup will also be served, adding an extra layer of flavor to your meal.
