Luna di Quarazzana offers warm hospitality, authentic homemade Tuscan cuisine, a welcoming atmosphere, and excellent wine. Luna di Quarazzana is a haven of charm and relaxation, making it an ideal destination for a family vacation or a romantic getaway.

We offer you the most extraordinary experience of staying in an ancient 15th-century building full of charm, an immersion into authentic food with 4 days to 1 week of cooking classes with history of Tuscan food, authentic recipes from Tuscan cuisine, and some original paper recipes left from my nonna, she used to write down the recipes in biscuit tin pieces once she had finished them and I stored them!

In our “hands-on” cooking program you will learn the authentic Tuscan recipes of Tuscany, the ones that are handed down year after year by grandmothers. Simple and tasty recipes to replicate at home to your parents.

I will tell many stories of my nonna and her trattoria (restaurant ) in Florence and a lot of stories about the history of Tuscan and Italian food.

Who was Caterina de’ Medici? We will also make some recipes that she invented and that is the base of Tuscany cuisine, but not only. I will show you all the books that are the base of the Italian kitchen, will be a lovely immersion! I look forward to sharing all my secrets with you!

Will be an informal and smiley course in the incredible atmosphere of an ancient borgo in Tuscany.

The price of the class is a total of 7 days per person, the time session booked may change depending on the day of the activity.

Day 1

• Greetings to our visitors for the Aperitif and Brazier Experience.

Day 2

• 10:00 AM - Discovering the Tuscan kitchen, my nonna's restaurant narrative, and delving into the history of Italian cuisine. Unravel the mystery behind the invention of béchamel – a fun guessing game that surprisingly does not lead to the French! A Comparative Exploration of Pasta: Exploring the unique techniques employed by Italians in crafting pasta, with a focus on the traditions of Tuscany, the northern regions of Tuscany, and Emilia Romagna.
• 4:00 PM - Discover the village and explore Fivizzano, including a visit to Castle Verrucola.

Day 3

• 10:00 AM - Learn about Caterina de' Medici - the historical figure credited with pioneering many of the recipes in Tuscany (Bescimella, Crespelle, Lasagne, and Gnudi)
• 4:00 PM - Visit to a local Cheese farm

Day 4

• Visit Florence

Day 5

• Start of culinary class for Focaccia Pizza and starters like Pate di Fegatini, Pappa al Pomodoro, and Panzella 
• Unwind by the pool and indulge in a wine-tasting experience.

Day 6

• Start of culinary sweet delights (Tiramisu, Torta Della Nonna, Cheese Cake
• Enjoy an aperitif in a seaside winery at Cinque Terre.

Day 7

• Time to leave.
