Your host, Demi, grew up in a restaurant family and studied cooking under a former chef from Hilton Tokyo's Dynasty restaurant.

Programme
1. Meet at Gakugei-Daigaku Station
Meet your hosts outside the only ticket gate at Gakugei-Daigaku Station (Tokyu Toyoko Line). Look for the “Sukiyaki Experience” sign.
Enjoy a 15-minute walk through the local neighborhood to our home. In rainy weather or extreme summer heat, complimentary car pick-up may be arranged.
2. Welcome Matcha & Japanese Sweet
Relax in our Japanese home with matcha and a seasonal Japanese sweet. Meet your hosts, Demi and Toshi, and enjoy a friendly introduction.
3. Japanese Dining Etiquette & Food Culture
Learn the meaning of “Itadakimasu,” Japanese table manners, and the traditions behind sukiyaki and Wagyu beef.
4. A5 Iga Wagyu Sukiyaki Experience
Discover the special qualities of A5 Iga Wagyu and enjoy authentic sukiyaki with premium Koshihikari rice cooked in a traditional donabe clay pot.
Share stories and ask questions about Japanese culture and everyday life.
5. Seasonal Dessert & Conversation
Choose from a seasonal Japanese fruit dessert, fruit cake, or matcha cake. Enjoy tea and conversation with your hosts.
6. Souvenir, Recipe & Memories
Receive a sukiyaki recipe and a small Japanese souvenir. Digital photos from your experience will be shared via Google Photos.
Lieu de rendez-vous
- Meet your host outside the only ticket gate at Gakugei-Daigaku Station on the Tokyu Toyoko Line. Look for the sign marked “Sukiyaki Experience.”
Additonal Details:
- From Shibuya, take a Local or Express train (not a Limited Express). The journey takes approximately 6 minutes.
- From the station, enjoy a pleasant 15-minute walk through the charming Gakugei-Daigaku neighborhood, known for its lively shopping streets, independent cafés, and authentic local atmosphere, as you make your way to the host’s home.
- Complimentary car pick-up from the station may be available during rainy weather or extreme summer heat. Your host will confirm the pick-up arrangements with you in advance. In pleasant weather, the walk through the neighborhood is the usual way to reach the home.
