Home-style Ramen & Gyoza:
After meeting at north gate of JR Tabata station, Yamanote-line (The main line in Tokyo), we move to my private kitchen studio.
We start the class with the lecture about Japanese cuisine & lifestyle. Then, we start cooking Ramen broth and soup from the scratch!
In addition to Ramen, I'll teach how to make crispy and juicy "Gyoza pizza" which looks like a beautiful flower as well as Today's side dish.
After tasting the final products paring with premium sake,I'll guide you to the local supermarket (where I go everyday) and introduce you to other foods and offer shopping tips.
* This is Home-style Ramen & Gyoza class so we don't make egg noodles and gyoza wrappers from scratch in this class. (Just in case, those recipes are on my YouTube channel already. Please subscribe "YUCa's Japanese Cooking"!) You can learn how to make Dashi soup broth and ramen soup from scratch. Thank you for understanding.
* Since I hold classes at my private home kitchen, each class is 6-7 guests maximum.
What I liked: I loved the information sheet filled with drawings and important information on Japanese food and culture that Yuca gave to us before the class started. Yuca was also a great host and served us Japanese tea when we arrived in her kitchen. We were also given a selection of sakes to drink with our meals!
What to know: Most of the cooking is done altogether as a team! We were all given different tasks to do, it was great teamwork!
Good for: Families and small group looking for a great team building experience.
