First discover Florence's historical food market where the locals do their daily shopping. Blend in with the locals. Meet the bakers, the butchers, and the farmers selling vegetables from their fields. Their stalls are full of items such as fresh fruit, vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, balsamic vinegar, sun dried tomatoes, olives and many other Italian food specialities. Shop for the ingredients to use for the cooking class and learn to choose the best seasonal products.

Then it's time to start your cooking lesson at a farmhouse in Tuscany. This isn't just a demonstration, you will actually take part in creating a full traditional Tuscan meal with our chef's help. You will learn to make real Italian fresh pasta by hand with freshly laid eggs and learn to make a traditional meat sauce using ingredients from right outside the door!

Learn to prepare the classic bruschetta with fresh bread, homegrown tomatoes and the farmhouse's own extra virgin olive oil and then take a break to enjoy it with a glass of Chianti wine.

After the break it's back to the lesson where you will learn how to prepare traditional Tuscan roast pork (arista) and Tuscan roast potatoes using fresh herbs collected from around the farmhouse. To finish the class, you will learn the secrets of the wonderful Italian coffee and cream dessert, Tiramisù.

At last sit down to enjoy a wonderful meal. At the end of your meal, your driver will be waiting for you for a short drive back to Florence, so it's time to say arrivederci after an unforgettable experience in Tuscany.

Please note that this class is not suitable for children below the age of 12.

9:00 am: Florence morning food tour with tastings where you'll explore San Lorenzo's colourful Mercato Centrale (Please note that the market is closed on Sundays and public holidays)
10:15 am: Hands on experience: learn to make Bruschetta, home-made Pasta, Tuscan roast pork with potatoes and Tiramisù
2:00 pm: Enjoy your freshly cooked meal accompanied with wine after the class
3:00 pm: Heading back to Florence

"Fun Day in the Countryside"

Fabulous tour of the market and hands-on cooking class. Luca makes it very entertaining! He acts as more than a chef but as your personal tour guide with cooking tips, restaurant recommendations, and overall knowledge of Florence. Carmella keeps things on track and pulls in the class members to participate. The lunch is really good. And we helped make it! We highly recommend this experience.

"The art of simplicity"

Great combination between the market visit and the cooking class. Our class was with 25 people, which was a little bit too much. I could not help that much except for the Pasta class. I would prefer to do it in a smaller group but, the class was well arranged. Luxury Transfer and good quality equipment. For sure, it's a good choice!

"Lovely Reprieve from the Crowds"

It was a big group, but expertly handled by two experienced guides. I am fairly confident we will be able to make our own pasta from now on: and some great tips. We brought our teenage daughter... Probably not best for anyone younger than 18. Still, she had a great time and a lot of the jokes went over her head. Five stars for sure... I would most certainly recommend it. (Esp for groups of friends).

"Enlightening but mostly just great fun"

Luka is a sensational guide! He is hilarious yet he provides valuable cooking tips, sights and restaurants to visit, and historical information. Carmella was also great in connecting with the group and enjoying the joy of cooking and sharing our experiences with others. We are truly grateful for one of the best tours we have ever been on! We are enthusiastic travelers and have been on many tours, but we have rarely had this much fun for 6 hours. Thank you so much for the opportunity to experience this! Love ya’ Luka❤️

We enjoyed our class throughout. The vibe was immaculate and everyone was nice. Food was 5 stars just as much as the process of us getting there. The experience and all the people imvolved? lovely. Would recommend to everyone.

Location

Please check the meeting points in the confirmation email. Our cooking classes take place in the village of Pian dei Giullari. We'll meet in the meeting point and go there together.

集合場所

At the TAXI stand outside Santa Maria Novella train station at 8.45AM. Look for your guide holding a Walkabout sign.

Additional Info - If it's possible for you to reach Florence by train or bus is surely better than by car because the traffic is heavy and you have to plan well in advance in order to reach the destination in time.

For those who travel by car: there is a brand new parking lot literally next door to our office at Via Vinegia 23R. Fares are from 5€ per hour depending on the size of your car and they are able to provide the permit to get into the historical city centre for 1€ extra."
