Class starts with a trip to a local market. In Bali Markets open early, The food markets are a great way to introduce students to Bali culture and lifestyle.Touring a traditional outdoor market provides insight both into how Balinese people approach cooking and how many spend their day. These lessons are as important as those in the kitchen. The Balinese Cooking Class that we offer are completely hands on and conducted in English, students will be provided their own cooking station and utensils to prepare and cook all of dishes by themselves.

Menu

Vegetarian

• Base Gede (A Basic 17-ingredient homemade puree, whichinfuses the characteristic Balinese taste so prevalent in most of the traditional dishes)
• Sauce Kacang (Peanut Sauce)
• Sambal Ulek (Balinese Hot sauce)
• Soup Timun (Fresh cucumbers and tomato in a turmeric broth.)
• Mie Goreng (Fried Noodle)
• Tofu and Tempe Sate (Sate Tofu, Tempeh and vegetable served with peanut Sauce)
• Pepes Jamur (Grill mushroom in Banana leaf)
• Kare Sayur (Assorted Vegetable in spiced coconut milk)
• Bubur injin (Black Rice pudding)

Schedule

Morning Session:

• Pickup service (Pickup time depends on your hotel location)
• 8:30  am: Traditional balinese market tour
• 9:30  am: Cooking Class
• 12:30pm: Lunch, Taste your dishes!

Afternoon Session does not include a Market tour: 

• Pickup service (Pickup time depends on your hotel location)
• 3:30  pm:  Cooking Class
• 7:00  pm: Lunch, Taste your dishes!
