Tommy the chef made as he was funny and had a great personality. Very informative about the ingredients that we were using and what taste alternative ingredients would taste if we used them at home.

She has created such a great experience from shopping in the market to learn about food, spices, and Indonesian culture to tasting a typical local breakfast. All this before beginning to cook a range of Indonesian recipes to create a true feast for lunch. The kitchen is set up so well, it allowed everyone to cook every recipe and learn technique, spices, and food combinations. She was so also able to accommodate dietary restrictions without problem. A lovely cooking class in a beautiful setting in the heart of busy Seminyak. The chef was very knowledgeable and experienced. It was hand on but not too much work. The food was delicious and we Look forward to making the recipes back home.

Fantastic chef, and menu etc but it took a long time before we got cooking , waited more than an hour before going to market , which they should have not done , market wasn’t necessary , they could just show us the Difft ingredients at the school , too many people , so we were there until 3,pm , but the cooking itself and chef was excellent

"Very delicious and informative Balinese cooking class!"
After we arrived, we got welcome drinks and a introduction about the class. Than we went to a local market, what i really enjoyed Tommy our guide and Chef explained us so may interesting things and showed us the most important ingredients for Balinese cuisine.
After the market a driver took us back and we got delicious Balinese sweet breakfast snack which had an amazing taste!
And so we Split into three groups and started to cook. I really enjoyed learning all these things but what I didn’t like that much was that we actually just prepared the food this included chopping and mixing but then went over the next recipe and brought the other thing to the restaurants kitchen to cook it in the meantime. This was just because so we have time to learn how to cook as many things within the five hours but I would have loved to cook less dishes but these ones all by ourselves. And also because we were so many people, we had to cook one meal together with 7 other people.
The chefs and the other people were so friendly and helpful and we had so much fun and in the end we got all the food we prepared to eat. This was such a delicious meal! We also got the certificate and a small book with all the recipes we cooked.

"The best !!"
I have been to a few classes in other countries but this was the best. I had my three children with me and they loved it. Everybody was involved with the cooking and the chefs were first class!

Erlinda was fantastic, the way she explained the fruits and veg at the market and tasting of some was awesome. Their preparation was great and selection of meals were so tasty. The garden tour with explanation was very informative and gives an incite to the way the balinese live. Their staff were the most polite people you would come across. Would do this again and happliy pay more. We had an awesome day.

Chef Komang and Tommy guided us through a Balinese culinary odyssey. I lost count of how many recipes we went through - maybe 13? I recommend skipping breakfast so you have room to eat all the delicious dishes at the end.

I learnt so much and ate so much beautifully prepared food. Our guide was very professional, talented, caring and connected. I really got to understand how the spices work and prepare them from scratch. I also loved how it was a nice way to meet people and create some friendships whilst eating the banquet afterwards. I highly recommend anyone who is not even vegan to experience this class. Everything was so delicious and a real education of Indonesian food and combination of spices. Everything set up when we arrived, the staff welcomed us with a refreshing drink and snack.
The Chef introduced himself a short time later and our class began. All ingredients were clearly explained and what we were going to be making. We were given a print out of the ingredients and dishes we were making and a pen to take notes.
The Chef spoke good English and was thorough in his instructions.
The class was entertaining and fun, our chef was happy to answer questions and give more suggestions. We cooked a number of dishes including salads and dessert, we tasted and tested during the course and were provided with cold bottled water which was refreshing.
At the completion of the class we sat down and feasted on the dishes we had made, a culinary delight we have to say. We would highly recommend this Vegan cooking class.

"Great way to learn to cook authentic Balinese food!"
We cooked many dishes and were able to take home all recipes which was great! The class was interactive and my partner and I were able to participate in multiple occasions during the cooking process which is sometimes quite challenging in a large group setting! The chef and his assistant chefs were really funny and entertaining throughout the process! It's a fun and great way to start out any day in Bali!

We covered many dishes during the class which was amazing! We all got to pariticipate in the cooking multiple times which is sometimes lacking in group cooking classes! It was our first cooking class and we had a wonderful time. The chef was patient, funny, and easy to understand. I appreciated that everything was kept very clean and all of our questions were easily answered. "Fun and informative"

"A great experience!"
We had the best time at Kin Vegan Cooking Class. The staff at the cafe are fantastic and Komang (the chef who takes the class) is brilliant! We had so much fun learning how to cook vegan. Neither myself nor my husband is vegan but we will definitely be trying out these dishes when we get back home. Such a great value class - can’t recommend enough!
