We highly recommend this cooking class to everyone loving food, Balinese culture as well as having a blast. The whole event was very well organized from pick up to drop off. We had such a great time chatting about culture and the life and practicing traditional Balinese cooking. We cooked different meals from soups to desserts and enjoyed all of them. Above all we were lucky to be just the 2 of us so we could use it as an romantic dinner on top. This event is worth every money and you should not miss it on your stay in Bali!

The teacher was super friendly, funny and happy to accomodate to different dietary requirements, as myself and my friend who I booked with are vegetarian. I loved how the course integrated traditional methods of cooking, and particularly taught us how to make an array of different dishes from one base. I also enjoyed taking the afternoon course because there were only four people including myself doing it, which felt like a more intimate group. They provided us with a recipe book at the end, which I can't wait to use. Thanks for having us!

"Excellent - would recommend this to everyone"
I can't praise this experience enough. Everyone from the drivers to the guides, teachers and support staff were kind, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and had the patient of saints. We were part of two combined groups of very mixed ages and abilities, but they took it all in their stride. No-one was left behind, everyone was given support and attention during the cooks so we all ended up with some beautiful dishes to enjoy. A really relaxed, enjoyable and informative - not to mention delicious! - experience. Thank you so much!

"Great hands on cooking class!"
Finally a cooking class where you actually get to cook everything yourself, 100% hands on. So glad we chose Ketut's cooking class. What a wonderful morning we had! Great driver for pick up & drop off & friendly guide for the market.(would have preferred to have skipped the market part as not particularly pleasant) The whole team throughout the cooking class was Fabulous. Everything very well coordinated and organised. Fun and entertaining and food was delicious. Skip breakfast! Always taken care of with cold bottled water. Very accomodating for Vegetarians & recipes to take home a bonus.

We had a great day! Visited the the market where the local people shop then to Geralds home for the class. Walked through the Organic Farm and picked produce needed for our lunch. "Great experience, highly recomended"
One of the best things we've done in Bali! Classes are run by passionate people, smiling and willing to answer all your questions. It's also organised by the local community, helping local people to find a job that they can enjoy.
The food we've cooked was delicious! Picking up and trying fresh ingredients on the market and on the farm was both fun and educational. We went with the vegan option, which was basically the same as the vegetarian one - we just didn't use eggs in our recipes. We also got a small booklet with all the recipes we've cooked plus a few more.
The groups aren't too big, and the overall organisation is very smooth - they definitely know what they're doing. You also get a chance to meet (and cook with) people from around the world, which is also a great plus.
If you have any doubt whether you should opt for it - have no more. You won't regret any minute or penny spent on it.

"Amazing Cooking Class!"
I would highly recommend booking this class! My friends and I had loads of fun cooking up indonesian dishes and learning more about the indonesian culture around food. I have barely any cooking experience and the food still came out amazing! This class was one of the highlights of my friends' and I's trip to Bali.

This class is not to be missed! The chef explained all the ingredients in detail and gave us very clear instructions on how to prepare the food. The food was delicious!!

"A warm experience"
My husband and I took this cooking class during our honeymoon in Bali. Overall, we had a nice experience. The family who runs this class is warm, patient and welcoming. They happily shared details of their culture, traditions and recipes, and were patient in answering everyone's questions. Our only "complaint" is that the class was WAY overbooked -- there were about 15 students in this class and it made the class feel impersonal and rushed. We were split up and told "do this, now do that..." but didn't really have time to absorb the things we were learning. Also, my husband and I didn't spend much time learning to cook these Indonesian recipes together because we were split up. The class also started late because we were waiting for many students to arrive. Perhaps the late start caused the rush, or maybe it was the number of students in the class; but either way, we wish there was a slower, more hands-on and togetherness vibe for the class. It was worth the price though, because the recipes were delicious, but we wanted to share our honest review. Thanks!

"This class was so worth it!"
OK, I highly recommend taking this class. The drivers, guides, and cooks are all so helpful and kind. They will even call you brother or sister when you are cooking. It is one of the cheaper cooking classes in Bali, and you can definitely notice that. There is nothing in this class that is absolutely astonishing or mind-blowing, the class is all about family and fun. They assist you throughout the whole process, making sure you are making the dishes tasty and more importantly correctly. It is just wholesome fun and good cooking. I 10/10 recommend taking this class if you want a cheap but amazing cooking class!

"Fabulous class and instructors"
The class was very well organised and run by Mate and Rudy the teachers. All dishes were delicious and we all had clear instructions while we made each dish, and assistance along the way at any time. My husband and I really enjoyed all the dishes, and plan on making these now we are back home. In fact, just today I googled to check if we could buy tempeh here......great news, we can! So that and Gado Gado are at the top of the list on my cooking new dishes this weekend!
It was an absolute pleasure to meet all staff at Pemulan Farm Cooking School, and would highly recommed it to anyone who is thinking of doing a cooking class while in Bali.

I would highly recommend this class to get out of the touristy things in Ubud and really experience traditional
Balinese culture and cooking. Made is so generous allowing us to come into her home and cook in her kitchen with her cousin and husband. The atmosphere was food and food was delicious!

"Experienced, organised and tasty!!!"
Absolutely delighted to have picked this course out of the many advertised.
We were collected and taken through the door rice fields and local markets which gave us a real taste of local Balinese life and culture.
We arrived at the home to find out we were the only two in the class for that evening! Perfect!!
The day was truly organised and good fun. We learned how to make some delicious recipes and received a copy of each to take home.
