With Kuta boasting Bali’s longest beach and waves for surfing, no one wants to leave the beach. That is why all of our cooking classes are only for half a day; you’ll be able to get back to the beach quickly with a full stomach and new skills to take back home. All of our classes consist of you learning how to make local Balinese food, where you will acquire hands on experience and gain these skills for life. Some of our cooking classes even include a local market visit, where you will be able to pick out your own fresh ingredients which you will use to cook with.
Highly recommend Chef Bagus and this cooking class. Learnt so much, all recipes easy to follow and dishes I will make at home.
A friend who has done five different cooking classes in Bali said this one was by far the best.

"Wonderful Balinese Experience"
My husband and I had a wonderful time at Chef Bagus Cooking Class the other day. We were picked up at our hotel and taken to his restaurant where we spent the next 5+ hours with 14 wonderful people. We created 12 authentic Balinese recipes together and enjoyed a wonderful feast together at the end. We even learned the secret recipe to his world famous ribs :) Chef is a wonderful man and makes the class very fun and entertaining. His staff is also amazing and very helpful. Highly recommend!

The class started with a tour to the local food market . In total we collectively made 10 dishes. The chef and the restaurant staff were very helpful and interacting with everyone. I enjoyed the class; it was very informative about the Balinese food culture.

What a wonderful day we had at our cooking class! The team was so engaging entertaining and helpful. The market tour, the recipes, the knife skills all contributed to the educational experience. The food was delicious and plentiful!

Had a great time, firstly picked up by a driver and taken to the market where one of Chef Bagus staff went through the various ingredients. Then to the restaurant and given a cold drink and some sweet breakfast dumplings. Then we started the course, we all introduced ourselves and donned the apron before Chef Bagus introduced himself and his illustrious career. Then the day started with Chef Bagus teaching us various recipes with all of us taking turns in helping prepare and cook the food. The day ended with us sharing the banquet of beautiful Balinese favourites and then we were given a certificate and then dropped back at our hotels. What a wonderful day that I will recommend to all my friends and family. Would definitely do it again. Thank you Chef Bagus and all the wonderful staff

"Essential Balinese cooking"
Great class to learn the backbone of a lot of Balinese dishes. Learning in a Balinese family compound and learning the intricacies of the offerings made a better understanding of what I had seen everywhere in Bali. The preparation of the pastes which then form the backbone of the dishes you cook confirm how the dishes connect with helpful tips of ingredients which can be substituted. The test of any course for me was to go home and prepare a Balinese feast for six of my friends . Thank you wayan for your kindness

"Tip top great start to Bali fortnight"
We were staying with friends for two weeks, they love their fruit and trendy European restaurants, so it was nice to share what we had learnt and treated then to some authentic Bali cooking. It was a great introduction to some new and interesting ingredients that shall be regular choices in our UK weekly shop.
Not only did we learn culinary skills but weaving of palm leaves and the cultural importance of what we had made.
Thanks for a thrilling day with lots of smiles and full tummies.
