What to Expect

This is a fast-track, truly Taiwanese cultural experience from the streets to the dining table! Guided by our local chef, you will experience Taiwanese food just like a local.

We will start the day with a slice of classic Taipei: walking through the oldest morning market. We will be welcomed by street vendors and shop owners. This food tour of the traditional and unique street food in Taiwan will be a perfect day.

Also, we will learn how to make bubble tea with the colorful bubbles in our cozy, homy, and fully-equipped cooking studio. This is a Taiwanese drink that has swept the world by storm! This experience is lots of fun and a very unique way to experience Taiwan.

Fun, well-organized boba tea making class with morning market tour

Everything from booking the class to meeting Wayne at the appointed location was super easy. I did the boba-making class with my 10-year-old son. It came accompanied with a morning market tour, where Wayne showed us around a nearby local market, pointed out various things of interest, and let us sample herbal teas, fruits, and other treats. Wayne was a good teacher, and my son and I both really enjoyed this unique and locally-relevant experience.

Boba making class and market tour

My 11yr old daughter and I had a great time . Market tour was very informative and fun. We tried fried tofu, vegetarian wrap which were very tasty. Fresh fruits were so delicious . Boba making class was fun and it was the best boba per my daughter

Wonderful experience

Chef Wayne was very friendly and a great host. We enjoyed the fruits and the market tour. The making of the bubbles was fun. The entire experience was enjoyable.

Amazing! Very fun and insightful.

The food tour was loads of fun - he was very knowledgeable and allowed us to try so many foods without rushing us. Making boba was really cool and delicious - best boba ever! Would definitely recommend it to our friends!

Enjoyed it very much :)

Leona was very kind and friendly! Loved the local Dongmen market, and quite liked how Leona took us around to explain the history behind them. This was a very local market, so it had a very different feeling than other markets and nobody spoke english here so we would have just walked past. But with Leona explaining as we walked and letting us taste bit of the local food as well, we def enjoyed it more than if we had done it by ourselves. One disappointment was some of the local food shop we were meant to have tasted closed as it was a Sunday maybe, and it would have been good if there were some replacement food experiences in these circumstances. But loved the bubble tea making class, making bubbles from scratch and then getting to drink them at the end was quite nice too. Overall, we really enjoyed it :) thanks Leona!
