The entire experience at Cici's class was absolutely lovely. Cici greeted us on the street and walked us to the venue, which was a thoughtful touch. We introduced ourselves and then got started on making the dumplings. Cici is very knowledgeable and breaks the whole process down into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Her English is also really good. The whole thing felt like a small gathering with friends, which made it a lot of fun. Once we were done, we cooked the dumplings and enjoyed them along with some sides Cici had prepared, like edamame and a cucumber salad. I really recommend this class.
Undoubtedly the highlight of our visit to Shanghai, spending quality time with Cici and learning how to make authentic Xiaolongbao really was the highlight of our trip. Cici really is an amazing individual who feels like a friend from the moment you meet her. Honestly, I can't rate this class highly enough! We absolutely loved every minute of it, and best of all, we got to eat delicious food at the end, which we shared over laughs and some Chinese tea. Don't think twice about it, book this class, because it really is as good as the reviews suggest. We have taken the skill back to New Zealand and have been practising for next time we meet.
Lovely food, very nice conversations and a chill last evening in Chengdu. Would definetly recommend!
We had a great time with CiCi. She was so kind and gave us very good advice how to make the small dumplings. The result was to tasty and in addition that we had a great chat with her. We exchanged a lot and just had a great time. We really recommend to take part on this class, its fun and there's a lot to learn.
We took a five dishes cooking class. First we went to see local market and meet some local residents playing MH Jong in the courtyards. After that we walked to cooking school, had some tea and then we prepared 5 dishes. The kitchen was extremely clean, the chef and the guide were very knowledgable, kind and answered all our questions. After cooking we enjoyed prepared dishes together. Great experience, highly recomended!
Fiona was fantastic and we really enjoyed the clas
Ci Ci was an amazing teacher. Very friendly, attentive and kind. Our experience was exemplary. Highly recommended
Amazing moment shared with Cici. She made us feel comfortable right away and generously shared her passion for Chinese cuisine, especially Chinese dumplings. We learned all the basics needed to recreate xiaolongbao by ourselves. We had the opportunity to make both the classic version of these dumplings and a vegetarian one, which was also absolutely delicious. To accompany the xiaolongbao, Cici prepared some traditional side dishes that were excellent and truly enhanced the overall Chinese cooking class experience.
It was this Chinese Wok Course with Mike the professional Chef and in the days before I even got to determine the "menu" i.e. the three dishes to be prepared! I chose my super favorite 辣子鸡 làzijī along with home style tofu and some extremely surprising recipe of a whole fish on minced pork that I had just had in Hainan. This way we had covered Tofu, Chicken, Fish, Pork and Vegetables and also deep frying, stir-frying, and steaming. Mike had provided three portions of ingredients each. He first showed us every step and then had us repeat it individually, so in the end we had on the table three versions of everything, and could even compare and evaluate. Soooooo good! And still very different! The master's version always stood out impeccable. These were very concise and elegant recipes, very easy to cook at home (I hope). Thank you so very much, Chef Mike!
It was a pleasant morning, the time flew by. We made dumplings, and Cici was very attentive to my dietary needs. I recommend it to everyone, especially those who want to try authentic cuisine.
CiCi is a great hostess and cooking instructor. Her english is very good. Her kitchen is very clean and modern. We learned to cook dim sum from scratch. Both vegetarian and non vegetarian versions. Afterwards we indulged in the delicious food. Our class was small. 4 people total. My wife and I live in Atlanta GA. The other couple was from France. Great experience. I endorse and highly recommend CiCi's cooking class.
Sim, muitas aulas celebram festivais chineses.
