Was andere Reisende sagen
I loved the hands on cooking experience. It was also perfect that we could tailor our own dishes to make them more or less spicy etc. Everything was delicious. I would recommend this Thai cooking class without hesitation 😃

The class is super educational, and is amazingly well laid out. Staffs are very attentive, friendly, and crack up jokes every then and there I don't feel bored at all. It's very eye-opening to see the delicacy of Thai cooking.
Plus, it's also child friendly. The family (a mother, and a daughter) sharing the same table as me seems to enjoy it very much. I feel a bit more confident after taking the class.

"Best cooking class ever!!!"
I had read good reviews of this class so I thought it would be good, but it totally exceeded my expectations! Our chef was Non and he was THE BEST! He spoke incredible English and taught me so much about Thai culture, language, and of course cooking!
We started with going to the market and I learned a ton. He actively engaged us in the process of buying the food we were going to cook. We then went to the cooking house by tuk tuk. We made everything from scratch (including the coconut milk, curry paste, tamarind paste, etc.). We cooked four incredible dishes. It is was some of the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten a lot! The process of learning about the dish and ingredients, prepping it, and cooking it was seamless and fun. We would make one dish at a time and then eat it. I can’t say enough good things! I’ve done cooking classes in six countries and none compared. This was the best class and the best value! We were given a recipe book to take home and I cannot wait to try these recipes on my own!! You will not regret taking this class!

"It was knowledgeable and entertaining :)"
I have been in BKK and Thailand over 20 times.
Always wanted to do a cooking class and finally I signed up for an afternoon class just because wanted to have it short, sweet and no market visit.
Perfect length and pace. If you have some little knowledge about Thai culinary and been shopping fruit and veggies on your own before this is perfect to compliment already existing experience.
Plus cooking book they give by the end of the class have Thai karaoke spelling for all herbs, veggies, spices - sooo, you are all covered!
Next morning I went myself to the market and bought all ingredients for pad thai and tom yum, plus veg store ladies brust in laugh once you try speak in Thai and they are super helpful and will throw extra champions in your basket ;)
I love Thailand for their smiles and happy people and of course fooood!
PS: I liked the book “Very Thai” prior class (while you are waiting for rest of chefs to join the class) it is a must read to anyone interested in Thailand and to understand modern Thai :)
I bought that book as a Christmas present to my friend!

"Great fun class and we learned so much!"
Our leader for the day, Chef Aey, was personable, knowledgable, and committed to giving us a fun learning experience. We spent some time smelling, feeling, and tasting key Thai ingredients, like the four different kinds of ginger (yes, there are 4!), lemongrass, Thai basil, chilis, two kinds of lime), and coriander.
Of course the very best part of our vegan Thai cooking class in Bangkok was the eating part! Between the two of us, we made five dishes: Tom Yam Hed, a pungent clear soup with lemongrass, Thai basil, and mushrooms; Tom Ka Hed, coconut milk-based soup with mushrooms; the classic pad Thai, but without the eggs or shrimp; green curry; and delicious mango sticky rice for desert.
We are vegan and Chef Aey went out of her way to show us how to make the dishes without any animal products, too.

"Attentive, Fun, and informative!"
Non is an amazing teacher and really made the experience enjoyable. He is charismatic, funny and super knowledgeable. Felt like a Thai culture class in addition to learning the in’s and out’s of traditional Thai meals! I highly recommend this class!

it was time well spent not just learning the dishes, with the great company of people from all over the world and rounded up having an experienced guide. Thanks to Bin for her patience and humor. :)

"The class was perfect!"
Chef Ghi was the perfect chef to teach the two of us. She took us to the market and told us about each vegetable and ingredient we would use. There were so many I doubt I could easily find in the US, but she gave us substitutes if needed. She lets us do everything from cleaning and chopping the vegetables to cooking them and writing down the recipes for ourselves to take home with us. Most cooking school hav everything chopped for you and you just add them to the wok. I absolutely LOVED this experience!

Cooking with Aey is the ideal way to enjoy an authentic cultural and culinary experience. Aya didn't just teach us to follow her or the cookbook but how to be creative and understand the basic of cooking Thai food. What we love most is that she didn't have a fix menu. Aya took into account that we do not eat all products and offered substitutes. Our class started with a trip to a local market to buy fresh ingredient then we prepared meals. We made coconaut milk and curry paste completely from scratch.
Aya explained to us which ingredients are obligatory in every dish and which can be exchanged. She told about the types of products, the recognition of herbs and much more.
She devoted more time to us than she assumed the course scenario. You can see that she loves what she does. A day after the course, we received almost 40 page document with recipes and all information that we heard on the course, as well as photographs. It was an unforgettable experience.
