At Rice to Meet You, we invite you to discover paella in a relaxed, hands-on and social way. During the workshop, you’ll cook a seafood paella step by step, with guidance throughout the whole process — even if you have no previous cooking experience.

The experience is designed to help you enjoy, learn and share a table with other people in a friendly atmosphere. We work with small groups, prepared ingredients and a clear dynamic, so you can focus on cooking, tasting and having a good time.

More than a technical cooking class, this is a gastronomic experience built around one of Spain’s most iconic dishes: preparing paella, understanding its basics and finally sharing it at the table.

Leonardo

I’m Leonardo, and I’ve been working in hospitality for more than 20 years, especially in Barcelona. I’ve always loved food from around the world, and over the past year I’ve been studying and learning more and more about paella: its techniques, ingredients and traditions. My passion is creating authentic moments around the table, where people from different places can cook, share good food and enjoy a warm, memorable experience together.

The experience includes everything you need to enjoy a complete paella workshop in Barcelona:

A guided, step-by-step paella cooking class
All ingredients and cooking equipment
A seafood paella prepared by you during the workshop
A Spanish starter to share
Homemade crema catalana for dessert
Drinks during the experience
Small-group format for a more personal and relaxed atmosphere
Guidance throughout the whole process, with no previous cooking experience needed

At the end, we sit down together to enjoy the paella you have cooked and share the meal around the table.

Luis’s passion for Spanish cuisine is genuinely infectious. Whether you’re dropping in for a simple lunch or taking one of his paella workshops, you feel his commitment to getting it right. In their paella workshop, you don’t just watch, you cook!! You’re guided step by step so you get to know the ingredients, understand how flavor is built, and experience the real rice-cooking process from the pan to the table. What makes Luis special is his teaching style. He explains the why behind every step, making even complete beginners feel confident in the kitchen. The experience is designed for you to learn, take part, and have fun, even if you’ve never cooked paella before. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and you’re sharing the moment with other food lovers. Your workshop experience includes all the ingredients and equipment you’ll need, hands-on guidance throughout, tastings, drinks, and the final moment of sharing the paella you’ve just prepared. There’s something special about eating paella you’ve cooked with your own hands, especially when it’s Spain’s national dish made exactly how it should be. If you can’t make a workshop, the lunch menu is equally impressive. Their lunch service is focused on rice dishes, designed to help you experience Barcelona through rice. LOVED IT!

A friend recommended this place as it’s something different than just a normal restaurant and to be honest it exceeded our expectations Its kind of an experience, the host greeted us nicely, explained each step to cooked together, cava and wine and snacks in between Afterwards we dined together, amazing Also the location is super beautiful, very modern, great vibe All in all top! We will come back with our families :)
