"An enjoyable evening"
We had a wonderful night learning about Japanese home style cooking. It was fantastic to get a chance to speak with a local and we had many interesting conversations. Emi was a very generous teacher and host. We learned how to make simple and delicious food and we can't wait to recreate them at home for our families! It was a unique experience that is definitely worth including on your itinerary while in Tokyo.

I had a great learning experience at cooking sun studio in Tokyo. From making Dash to making all of the kaiseki dishes, we make get to make on our own. At the end of the session, we ate what we cooked, I must say it was so delicious! I can wait to cook the recipe at home. Lots of laughter and smiles with other guests - two fantastic couples from Hawai and Seoul. Thank you Maiko and Yuki sense!

Thank you Miyuki and Simply Oishii for a fantastic experience. If you're looking for an opportunity to learn about Japanese ingredients and cooking techniques there is no better way than a class with Miyuki. Miyuki teaches you about more than just the dishes you will cook, she also teaches you about culture, the purpose behind the techniques that you are using, and offers great suggestions for places to eat and shop all over Tokyo. I am looking forward to the opportunity to return to Japan and cook with Miyuki again!

"Sumptuous and Satisfying!"
This was the highlight of our trip! Definitely! The instructor was very knowledgeable and his skills were amazing! Our class was held at Motor's house and everything was organized and already set up for us. His techniques were so cool! He first introduced Japanese culture and the importance of Japanese spices to enhance each dish. We were able to prepare and recreate Sushi, Tempura and Sashimi and other home cooking! They have such a homey atmosphere and you dont feel any pressure at all. Definitely recommended! Now i am confident in preparing Japanese food for my family.

"Best Bento Making"
I travel a lot and eat a lot and this adventure is a one of a kind experience. It is great to know the process and how Japanese food is made. I took this class since i will be opening a small restaurant at home that brings all the Asian culture together. And Mayuko was incredible. She shared her tips and techniques in creating great bento dish and seasonings. They were all very accommodating and friendly. They welcomed us in their home as if we are family. I really learned a lot! At the end of the class, i was able to make a perfectly tasting sushi and bento!

"A Must Do when in Tokyo"
Highly recommend the Shokado Bento class, Masa and Ken were just phenomenal! They shared knowledge of the history to the Japanese classics in this class on miso, matcha green tea, tempura, and rice cooking. This is a great class for anyone who wants a well-rounded approach to the Japanese kitchen classics.
Its location is also a bonus just blocks from Kappabashi Street in Asakusa. Make sure you allow yourself hours before or after the class to enjoy the shopping for anything and everything Japanese for your kitchen.

I can’t wait to try making sushi at home. The chef, the kitchen, the place and the people are first class! I fell in love to sushi even more. Got to make sushi on my own for the first time. It was so delicate to make from the preparation and in choosing the best fish and ingredients. So Yuko helped us tour to Tsukiji Fish Market and shared to us the best tips in choosing the best fish in making sushi. After making set of sushi, there was a small ceremony and I received a certificate. I appreciate it a lot and enjoyed the sushi I made. Much thanks! A great experience indeed!
