Learn how to cook Thai food with a Thai family and experiences authentic Thai ways of life.

Since 1990, we has opened our Thai traditional teak house and our family kitchen to travelers around the world to get in touch with local life. You will travel through canals by long-tailed boat to our house in the big garden. Pip, a joyful instructor and loving Mom, will share her secrets of cooking tips. You will cook five authentic Thai recipes (and get tons of cooking tips) including pounding your own curry paste from scratch!

Then stay overnight in our natural wind breeze room and wake up to birds chirping. We will take you to Bangbuathong market which has been a marketplace for more than 100 years. We have been shopping in this market ever since we opened our home.

Pang Fargrajang

Pang Fargrajang is the youngest of three daughters of Paiboone and Pip Fargrajang - the founders of The Thai House Homestay & Thai Cooking Experiences. Pang and her two elder twin sisters - Pu and Pla grew up helping and learning the family’s recipes with their grandmothers, mom and aunt. Pip – their mom - started the cooking class in 1991 and had been the only instructor of the class for almost 27 years. In 2018 Pang who has been assisting in the class and, later, co-instructing the class many years took over to teaching. She has been sharing her passion in home-style cooking and family’s recipes ever since. Pla Fargrajang is one of Paiboone and Pip Fargrajang daughters. She has a twin – Pu – and one younger sister. In 1991 their parents opened The Thai House Homestay & Thai Cooking Experiences to welcome travelers in their home where they can enjoy authentic Thai hospitality. Pla grew up cooking with Pip who had been the instructor of The Thai House’s cooking class and shares her passion for cooking. Now, as a mother of two boys, she enjoys creating menus for them. She has been Pip assistant in cooking class for many years before starting to lead the classes herself in 2019.

Kaeng Kari Kai (Yellow curry with chicken)

Day 2

Tom Kha Kai (Chicken in coconut & galangal soup)
Pad Prik Khing (Savory stir fried pork with long beans)
Kaeng Khio Waan Neua (Green curry with beef)
Pumpkin in coconut milk (dessert)
Making curry paste

Day 3

Kai Pad Khing (Stir-fried chicken with ginger)
Nam Prick Ong (Pork and tomato chili dip)
Tom Jeud Moo Sub (Clear soup with pork balls)
Sweet sticky rice

時間表

The first day - Travel to Thai local life experiences

8:30 am: Boat trip to The Thai House
10:00 am: Arrive at The Thai House. Relax and visit our herb garden.
11:00 am: Introductions to ingredients and preparation
12:15 pm: Cook Pad Thai and lunch
1:30 pm: Cooking session 2 and tasting
4:00 pm: End of cooking class
7:00 pm: Complementary fruit

Stay overnight in our Thai traditional style teak house

2nd day - Wake up with birds chirping sound

7:00 am: Visit a local market
9:00 am: Return to The Thai House for Breakfast
10:00 am: Cooking Class Start
4:00 pm: Cooking Class End
7:00 pm: Complementary fruit

Stay overnight in our Thai traditional style teak house

3rd Day - Wake up with birds chirping sound

07:00 am: Offering food to the monk on the canal (depends on the monk’s schedule) then enjoy breakfast in a relaxing atmosphere
10:00 am: Cooking class start
3:30 pm: End of the class, Travel back to Bangkok by car

One of the best experiences of my life.

We had the most amazing experience with Pip and Pang. The acclamation is typical Thai and the hospitality is friendly. The cooking class was truly hands-on and well planned and structured. We got to go to a market and see Pang talks you through everything and you get to experience the local treats. We got to give food to a monk on the passing canal which was the 2nd highlight after the cooking. We cooked over 15 fishes and ate 10 different others. I can highly recommend this for wannabe chefs, families, couples who want to experience Thailand and walk away been able to cook real Thai for the rest of their lives.
