Antignano Local Market Tour with Giorgia Chiatto

This experience begins at the place where we have been going to throughout all our lives: the local market. Antignano is one of the oldest fresh markets in town. I remember going with my mum and tasting all the novelties that each season had to offer. Fruits, veggies, cheese, olives, local wine and produce, and chances to play with fresh seafood all combined in a friendly atmosphere made up of cheerful vendors.

On this market tour, we will visit their little shops and taste what they are offering based upon the season. We will also learn how to choose ingredients according to the season for freshness and, most importantly, the taste. You will be allowed to go around and interact with the friendly locals to learn about their life and culture.

Depending on the season (we follow what nature has to offer) you will be able to buy and taste:

• Cheese - Mozzarella, Grana Padano and much more
• Bread of any kind
• Taralli - A local snack that goes very well with wine
• Local Wine
• & Many more wonderful things the vendor has to offer to you

時間表

• 9:30 am: We will meet at the school 
• 9:40 am: Take a short 5 minute walk to the Antignano fresh market
• 9:45 am: Start our guided market tour or explore freely
• 10:30 am: End of the tour with full stomach and happy faces
