This cooking and cultural experience is a must if visiting Osaka! The instructors were super friendly and introduced us to a local dish called okonomiyaki (savoury cabbage pancakes) and some Japanese classics like tempura and rice balls. I can’t wait to try making them for my friends and family at home! The recipes were easy to follow and even my school-age daughter got involved, so it’s definitely a family-friendly class. The highlight though was eating our delicious delicacies at the end of the course while being entertained with the traditional and unique sounds of the shamisen (a Japanese banjo). The music added an authentic touch to the whole experience. Best of all the classroom was conveniently located right near a major train station and lots of hotels so we didn’t have to walk far at all to get there. It’s in a really interesting part of town too, so worth a look around before or after the class. Overall a great day out in Osaka if you’re a foodie or family looking for something fun and new to try.
Food is wonderful. Everything is great. Instructor is also perfect, it is very easy to understand how to cook!
I'm open to experience, this is the best one and very fun!
Cook,Taste and Enjoy Osaka is a cooking class whrer inbound can learn how to make and eat home-cooked meals using seasonal ingredients. Visitors can serve them to thier friends and family members when they return home. There is also a perfomance they can enjoy traditional Japanese cultures like traditional music by playing Shamisen.
We will prepare and cook two dishes with visitors from the course we offer. We use Koshihikari rice from Minami Uonuma, which is said to be the best in Japan. We also offer ingredients for each season. In spring, we serve dishes inspired by cherry blossoms, allowing to experience the four seasons of Japan.
