Taste of Bali is located in the Jimbaran area, just off one of the main road. Step inside to a traditional Balinese setting, where you sit and create an offering before your cooking class. We were the only 2 booked into the class, so it was more like a private class just built for us. Start with the base of all Balinese cooking where you create 2 traditional spiced pastes, which will be added to all your dishes. So glad we created these. We opted for Chicken over any seafood on the day, and created 9 dishes which was so much food, so make sure you come hungry. The team a Taste of Bali were very friendly and very helpful. So glad we did this course and dishes were easy enough to replicate at home. So you should definitely do it. Price for the course was great.
Chef Bagus is a true entertainer assisted by a fantastic group of staff especially Mumma Bali. A wonderful 4 hours exploring and understanding the culture, origins and food of Bali. Exceptional value, highly recommend- 6 ⭐️
The hospitality was outstanding. The food we made was incredible and I'm definitely adding a few of the recipes to my repertoire back home. They provide you with a cooking book at the end of the event which was a thoughtful touch. They were also very accommodating and provided vegetarian options. While I am not a vegetarian myself, I was surprised by how tasty those dishes were. All in all, I would highly recommend this class to anyone with an interest in cooking.
Learn the obvious advantage of cooking with a wok, a chinese knive and a balinese pestle and mortar. Everything except thr protein is put on a single plate and then in proper sequence in the wok, amazing practicality of this national cousine - once claned and peeled it takes only 5-10 minutes to cook a exotic dish. Balinese is in the sauce they said - and you learn 3 different but essential one.
The whole class was so informative, from the market tour to chopping all the ingredients, then enjoying the delicious different courses. The dessert was so unusual but outstanding in taste and presentation!

We had such a great time with Chef Bagus. He makes the class fun with his jokes, but also manages to teach us a lot about cooking tips and tricks we never knew! I couldn’t have booked a better class. It was the highlight of our time in Seminyak.

Clean environment to cook. Nice and helpful staff. Chef Bagus is very professional, showing us everything we need to know about Balinese cooking, from special spices and herbs they have here in Bali, to traditional cooking and preparation methods. The class is super fun and we get lots of chances to have hands on. Love the part where we got to try the dishes right after we just made them. 10 recipes were being cooked and all of them are awesome. Highly recommend this cooking class if you want to experience how bali people cook for there fantastic meal!
One of the best travel experiences I've ever had! Extremely well organized, excellent and helpful chefs and staff, and the best food imaginable! The meals and snacks (breakfast) provided were excellent! It was so well worth it, and I'd definitely recommend this class to fiends/family in future. Leaving with a cookbook was a bonus that many will treasure!
We loved this cooking class at Anika cooking school. Our guide took us through a local market and had very good English. At the class staff were professional and helpful and we made and then ate delicious lunch. We went home with a great cookbook, and fond memories of our time. Cookly gave us a great price for this class - definitely recommend booking through them :)

The staff were extremely organized, quick to assist, and friendly. Chef Bagus was hilarious. He was extremely knowledgeable and taught us so much about the ingredients we were using. His personal anecdotes helped us get to know him as a friend, not only as a teacher. The food was amazing too. It was great that they pre-cut all ingredients and had us do everything as a class. This allowed for no one to get stuck behind or for others to have to wait for anyone struggling. Instead, we worked as a team and did well with it. It also allowed us strangers to get to know each other. We loved everything about the class!

Loved it! Chef Bagus was so engaging and entertaining! The food was delicious and the preparation process was very balanced with just the right amount of time spent mixing, etc. Chef Bagus gave the little girls just the right amount opportunity to cook and they wanted to come back again.
