"Really inspiring and tasty!"
Dia gave us an amazing foodtour at a local market to explain different kind of Thai ingredients. After that we started with the cooking class at a beautiful place. We Made 5 of our favorite thai dishes. Dia explained everything really good and she was funny and sweet. A good experience and a ‘must do’ in Chiang Mai! I can highly recommend this cooking class if you are interested in Thai food and like small groups with personal attention! :)

Absolutely amazing class with fresh ingredients and it was customed so I still can make it back home!! Definitley reccomend and even if you're not vegan/vegetarian it's worth going since there is SO much we can do without meat. Thank you so much I had a great time :)

"Brilliant insight to Thai food!"
Me and my partner had a great time today! We went to the market and learnt about all the traditional Thai vegetables and ingredients that we would be using. Then at the class we made each course and then got to eat it! The girls talked us through each step and even the prep of each dish. We thoroughly enjoyed it and had a great group to work with. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel, amazing tasting food and great company. Highlight of our trip- a must do!

Everything was so perfect from the pick-up, visit to the market, until the class itself. We were lucky to be the only participants and we really learnt a lot. This course was excellent! The tour to the local market was very informative and the course itself was so much fun! I was the only one that day so i had a private course with Nan the teacher. I cannot say enough good things about We Love Green! The school is a nice space and well-equipped with the materials you need to bring authentic Thai dishes to life.
However it was the outstanding kindness and knowledge of the team that really made this a must-do experience. Nem is so funny, outgoing and positive - I know she is only a visiting chef, but I can’t recommend her or We Love Green enough!

"Great for all levels"
I've been looking forward to doing a cooking class in Chiang Mai for forever and this one did not disappoint. Our instructor Mr. Pon'tastic was fun and engaging through the whole lesson, cracking jokes while imparting his in-depth knowledge of food. The class offered a lot in the way of both techniques and flavors, and was simple enough for newbies to follow along, while still introducing new information for more advanced level cooks. All of the recipes were delicious, and I can't wait to try them out soon!

"Great family-run class"
The staff is great. They answered all our many questions at the market as well as while cooking. We lucked out with a small class but they didn't skimp on anything despite it being just 3 of us. Awesome to get out of the city and to go to a non-toursity market. Recipes are easy to follow. Highly recommend these great folks!

Tutor Ae and staff were all skilled, friendly and helpful. The instruction was easy to follow and we were all able to produce some delicious dishes which we can replicate when we return home. The cookbook provided will be very useful. Good value half-day experience and well worth doing.

"Fun, interesting and informative!"
I really enjoyed the class. We were able to choose five dishes from twenty-four options; a starter, a soup, a curry, a stir-fried dish and a dessert. The day started with a short visit to a very non-touristy market where the head chef showed us some of the ingredients we would be cooking with, along with some typical staples of Thai cuisine.
Then we drove to the farm where the cooking school is based; a really beautiful rural area surrounded by palm trees. We picked fresh herbs, chilli and vegetables from the garden to use in our dishes. Then it was time to cook! Over the span of three hours, we made five dishes each along with a curry paste. It was a lot of work but there were chefs to help us and the class moved at a good pace. All the food was delicious and we were able to take home leftovers. We had time to concentrate on what we were making, listen to the chef's advice and instructions, enjoy our food and relax at the farm afterwards before being driven back to our accommodation. We also received an excellent e-book full of recipes.

"The best thai food I ever had!"
This coocing class was one of the highlights on our Trip to Chiang Mai. It was really proffesional, the equipment was great, the coocing stations were so cool and outdoors and the chef was just amazing. She thought us some great dishes and she did it with energy and humor. I am so glad we did this course, because now, we can bring a smal part of Thailand with us when we go home. The Great Thaifood that we learnd to make at this coocing class!

"Great class with excellent teacher Nim"
We were taught about the core Thai ingredients, and first made up a variety of pastes. We then used these to make Tom Yam soup, peanut sauce, massaman, green and red curries, pad thai and to finish, mango and sticky rice.
The course has given us the tips and confidence to apply what we learned when we get back home.
Plus Nim taught us some Thai dancing to help work off some of what we had eaten!

This was such a great day for the two of us!! We were lucky enough to be the only ones on this particular day, so we had a private class! All lovely people. Delicious, fresh ingredients and so much fun learning about all the foods we’ve been having here.
It was also a nice way to get out of the city for a bit and stay on a quiet farm with nice people. Would 10/10 recommend!

At the time I was nervous about the class, however it was not last long thanks to Art.
The curriculum is going too fast for me so that it was hard to note but it was no matter because at the end of the class they give us recipe book.
When I back to my country and cook Thai food which I learned from here, I'll be reminded memories of this school.

"Fantastic. Don’t hesitate to book this class"
This course was everything we hoped for. A small sized group of 8 of us together, given a quaint tour around the local market to start. Here we learned all about the local ingredients and had plenty of time to look around for ourselves and ask lots of questions.
Then we took a short journey to their farm just outside of the city. Very cute and again we were talked through everything they grow out on site and picked/plucked our ingredients from there fields.
The cooking itself was very interactive and the hosts/chefs had a great, fun and enjoyable attitude. They were able to deal with more detailed questions as well as the more basic questions that came from us.
We cooked three courses (make sure you arrive very hungry) and had time between each course to look around the farm before starting the next.
We have since been sent all the recipes and we cannot wait to attempt some more Thai cooking when we return back home.
Thanks again to the wonderful hosts.

"Great cooking, good fun"
The class was excellent - really well organized and the cooks teaching us made it such good fun, especially Tommy. The dishes were varied and delicious. We had much more choice than I had expected.
However I didn't think the market section added much. The small number of stalls did not feel like a genuine market that local people would buy their produce from.
Over all I thought this course was excellent and I'd highly recommend it.

- great fresh products from garden
- very organized, there isn’t one minute lost
- they offer to take away if you can’t eat everything which is great because there is a lot to eat
- large choice of recipe, vegan option, everyone pick his favorite
- experimented cookers, give some interesting tips, friendly
- good presentation of the ingredients, for each meal you have a plate with everything needed
- during my class we were 5, so it was nice / but this can change from a class to another
- nice market tour with tasting some product
- sometimes too quick, rushy- but it’s because there is a lot a meal to prepare in a quite small time
- they take a lot of picture but I’m never sure about if they’ll use it for own promo (but my fault, I didn’t ask)
I’d love if they propose some session without market tour. As I already know it, it would allow me to save time.
Advice: don’t eat before. This class can easily replace 2 meals

One of the highlights of my stay in Chiang Mai. I loved how personal this experience was. I have been recommending this class since the day I had it. The instructors were extremely friendly and helpful. In the end, I was extremely proud of the results. I ate my own cooked food with pride of how delicious it was. Again, Brilliant experience. "Fun and Worth It!"
A cooking class is an absolute must-do in Thailand, and Basil Cookery School went above and beyond to create a fun experience. Our instructor, Film, was extremely helpful, energetic, and funny! She made us feel at ease as we each cooked 6 delicious traditional Thai courses. We started out at a local market where Film described the different seasonings and vegetables that we would be using in the class. Then, we got to cooking. The time went by really fast, and we all made more food than we could eat (they provide to-go containers). Film, and her team, made it easy for us, and we had a really great time. Basil Cookery provided transportation to and from our hotel and even gave us a book of recipes to take home! I highly recommend you book your cooking class experience with them.

"Great introduction to Northern Thai cooking"
Really enjoyed all aspects of this class, from learning how the produce is selected at the market, to picking herbs/vegetables in the organic garden on-site and the small group setting. Unlike other classes where everyone does the same dishes this class had loads of flexibility for every person -- this was a fantastic opportunity to pick from a large number of both regional and country-wide classic Thai dishes to cook.

"Fantastic way to spend an afternoon in Chiang Mai!"
Didn't know what to expect from this cooking class as it's my first ever, but it turned out to be really enjoyable. Went with my partner and we both learnt how to prepare 5 dishes each. The class size was small (only 3 others were there), so it didn't feel too rushed even though we all selected different dishes. Pick up and drop off was a smooth process. The visit to the local market was interesting and time was given for us to look around and purchase ingredients or local goods to take home if we wanted.
It seems to be a family-run business and the cooking class was held in the farm where we picked some fresh herbs and ingredients. The instructor was really lovely and helpful, and despite English not being her native language, she did her best in making the instructions clear for all to understand. As there was too much food to finish at one go, we had the option to pack it away which was great. I was really impressed by the recipes they sent through via email after as it was practically a recipe e-book.
Would highly recommend anyone to take a cooking class with Baan Farm!

"A Pleasant Surprise"
What a great evening! We were pleasantly surprised by how much fun and informative Grandma’s Cooking Class was. The grounds were beautiful. We enjoyed walking thru the herb and vegetable gardens. The instruction was detailed, yet fun and easy to follow (in English). And the meals we prepared were many and tasty. We will be making Curries and Pad Thai at home!
